My husband is into fishing too. Our retirement plans are visit lakes and tour gardens in other states lol.
He doesn't understand this need to add more plants. He loves to mow thankfully, we have an acre so I have room to expand if needed and he can keep his grass.

Mine is completely uninterested in the yard. His only request is that it must look nice. He is OK with me buying plants and dirt if that is what I want to spend my "mad money" on instead of new clothes ! Hurray! Hurray! When I put in the two big beds in the front yard he gave me DIRT for a combined Mother's Day and Birthday present (my BD is May 18th).

I actually still have a good amount of grass, but have to keep it since I still have children that need a yard to play in right now. Give me a few years though and.......

My husband handles the outside "creep" pretty good. Whistling It's when I get the windows full with plants
and the pictures on the table in front of the window hidden by plants that he gets concerned about the addiction! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
Since there is only 5-6 months gardening outside here I gotta put plants somewhere. Blinking nodding

I think it is great to have a sense of humor about our predictiment. I stopped growing brugs after my son said he thought he was living in a jungle during the winter Rolling my eyes.

Perhaps one day I can grow my tropical without lifting them or bringing them indoors lol. I have to downsize somewhere so now I focus on dls!
