I Love using Grenadier in my Asiatic crosses.The variance & fertility is incredible..Have used in on Harlequins & spotty yellow 1c's, with much colour variance in the same seed batches..Am building up the bulb stock now ,after nearly losing it , so there will be many crosses to come..

That certainly looks like a healthy lot of bulbs there, Anthony! If you ever have any to spare, I'd love to buy a couple off you.

Why does it have the name Kline in brackets?

Because there were two Lilies with the name 'Grenadier'. The way the RHS deals with conflicts like this (both in Liliums and Orchids) is to include the hybridiser's name after the cultivar name.

Lily (Lilium 'Grenadier [Chandler]')
Lily (Lilium 'Grenadier [Kline]')

(although in some cases for Orchids the year is used instead)
