Chances are will start this Friday (June 11th) but definitely will be going on next week. So check their website as to their roses availability starting this Friday. Steph just told me this morning they will be offering mostly 2-yr old grown roses that they could not carry anymore.

I just placed an order, and to make me feel better, Steph assured me that the roses I ordered will not be included in their sale. Shipping here to NJ is only $4/plant and not $8 as I thought it would be. I ordered English roses but one:
Pink Gruss an Aachen
Pat Austin
The Generous Gardener
Christopher Marlowe
Noble Antony
Queen of Sweden
The Prince
Tea Clipper

Wanted William Shakespeare but they're out of them.

Too bad they're going back to the earlier procedure of posting a list. Last year's half-price sale was so exciting because it applied to every rose they had in stock.

Who's Steph?

I've been watching the website myself, Probably they're not going to post it till next week.

Euro-Desert Roses are having a sale at the moment. Most of their roses are $8.95. Problem is, I can't find enough info on their roses.

I ordered five from Eurodesert last night and four from Vintage Gardens. It's definitely sale season.

Tex - between HMF, DG, & Google, I was able to find some info on quite a few. Problem for me is I don't read German & I'm broke (saving $$ for my cat's surgery in like 2 weeks). Otherwise I'd be stocking up. Eurodesert has some beauties, though!!

Toni - thanks for the info. Yes, I did find some info on the web, but like you said, they were some kind of a European language.

Well, Conan's surgery won't be until next month, so when's the sale going to start? Any clues?

I tried to call this morning and I can't get through.

I called Saturday also (just in case somebody will answer the phone) and some guy answered the phone and I asked for either Pat or Stephanie and he said "they're not around". Asked him if he could take orders or know about the sale - he said NO and said to call back and hanged up the phone. Kind of strange.

The sale has started, buy one get one free. Bought a Benjamin Britten and a Shepherdess this morning.
Thanks for the heads up. Planted two David Austin roses this spring that are now in bloom and they are even more beautiful than I expected.

I'm glad none of the Austin's I ordered last week are in that sale. Those were shipped to me yesterday.

They're already out of the Sheperdess. But I was able to order today Benjie Britten, Covedale, Tess of the D'urbervilles, and Moirtimer Sackler. And these are 2-year old - own root grown roses.

I sent in my list and it came back with 8 of the 11 available. Haven't heard back as far as a price, though. Maybe I should just call them.

Well, I didn't get in on the sale. Sad So my order's almost $200. Sad Again. Sad :( Sad But they did send one of the roses for free, so I can't complain about that I guess! I don't remember Tempi Moderni being $20 last year, though... I hope they send me a bigger sprout than the little bitty sprout I got last year then!

This is my new list:
Shipping by UPS on Order # 1191 - 6/21/10, the following:
Ice Girl Freelander @ $17
Hawkeye Belle @ $16
Tempi Moderni @ $20
Molineux @ $17
Lavender Dream @ $16
Twilight Tryst @ $17
Cardinal Hume - Free Rose
Silver Shadows @ $16

Total amount for plants - $119
Shipping of 8 roses @ $7 = $56
P&H - $5
Total amount due - $180

Yes yes yes, too many "mauve" roses. Sticking tongue out Sticking tongue out Sticking tongue out

Anyone still agonizing over their lists for this one may want to check out Austin's Wildeve. Somehow my posts and pictures on the other place disappeared, aggravating. I'll get some here soon. I thought I was boring people posting this one over and over again, but I really love it. It is a "smaller" Austin, but bigger than expected. Mine sends out new canes 6-7' tall with clusters of blooms on the ends and later on lateral shoots. It would love to be a rounded, fountain of a shrub, but is tolerating my novice Austin pruning efforts. Its blooms are bigger than WS2000, similar in form to Charlotte, but I think Wildeve will be a bigger and more floriforous shrub than Charlotte. So far, I prefer it to the beloved Abe Darby.

Received my Austin's today that I ordered last Wednesday. Vigorous and healthy looking plants.
If these are newly rooted plants, can't wait for the 2 year old Austin's I ordered from their sale.

I'll see if I still have room to plant more roses and I may order Wildeve too.

That's quite an endorsement, Andi, and I appreciated it. I had decided I really didn't need any of the roses included in the sale, but you changed my mind. I ordered Wildeve, Miss Ada, Eliane Gillet, and Peggy M. and said I would take Grimaldi, Amaretto, Bronze Masterpiece, Radio Times, or Taffeta if they were out of any of the four I want. I actually already have all of these but Wildeve and Peggy M., but Eliane Gillet and Miss Ada were eaten by gophers a couple of years ago and are still struggling to recover.

My strongest recommendation would be for Solitude. It's an absolutely gorgeous rose. I already have two that are huge and vigorous, so I don't need another, but now that I've grown it, I can't imagine having a garden without it in the future. It's a tall rose bush (6-7 feet) with huge flowers with lots of ruffled petals.
