I tried last spring. Don kindly told me he doesn't accept visitors. Especially in the Spring. He has very little time and is really busy. Keep trying Greg! I would love to go.

It would be a very fun and cash friendly day for him with all us addicts in that nursery.

I think a crowd like us would give him a nervous breakdown.
I am so thankful to Don for all he does to provide us with such wonderful plants for our collections.

Lynn me too!! And therefore I don't push it at all! Just a friendly reminder that we're all meeting up again this next year and we hope its the start of building something that will be a long term and more widespread gathering of semp admirers, growers, and hybridizers

I can understand and bet he is busy in the spring with lot of orders. I will just have to go look at his site and drool over all the plants. He has a fabulous plant offering.

I hope I can make it also. Not sure if I will be the one to keep the focus since Mom has me hooked now! We might have to rely on Sharon for that I am looking forward to seeing how the semps get through our winter.

Perhaps if you all volunteered to lend a hand to some of Don's maintenance during the visit. Weeding is a great way to get to know a semp and perhaps there are other things experienced semp collectors could do to help a master collector??? Labeling boxes, printing mailing labels, lots of possibilities.

Off topic, but in my time with cats, I have become successful with herding the ones who know me. EVERY TIME I feed or treat, I call the same call. Eventually, they come when I call. It started when I lived in the country and had indoor/outdoor cats. I needed a way to get all 3 of them indoors before I left for a weekend. It works now for getting my current 3 into the room I want them in. And it works with the two I kitty sit, too - just in case I need to evacuate them. Like I said, off topic, but I had to share.

I heard that a herd of cats had a special name for it: "Cat-astrophe"

One thing to call them, another to drive/herd them. There was a commercial awhile back showing cowboys on horses moving a large herd of cats.
