I know I don't get on often enough but a quick update on the beds valleylynn and I did last spring. Everything seems to have made it through winter. Spring has sprung here in New Mexico and I am excited to see how the cute little things progress!!

Hey there Denice. I think the third photo from the top is Limelight? They should all start making offsets soon. They are looking healthy. Hurray!

Wow Bev, beautiful bed. And it looks like the spiders are sizing each other up. Are you sure one of them is not a girl spider? Whistling

Just spent the entire weekend applying a granular systemic to the bed section by section. Had a top dressing rock layer on top of soil and had to remove all so that I could sprinkle and work the granules into the soil. Am double thinking the use of the systemic in granule form as I would hate to have to remove the rock dressing every time I need to work the systemic into the soil (which can be every 8-10 weeks if the mealy/aphid infestation persists.

Anybody know of a systemic that can be diluted with water and applied that way? Confused

Hi Denice Great to see you on here!! Can't wait to see how your semps do in another couple of months!
Bev I hope you get that all sorted out...do you know if its root or stem mealy bugs? I've heard root mealy bugs are harder to get rid of. Hope its the other kind...I never have bad outbreaks of mealy bugs but every now and then I have them on my tender succulents, and I just use full strength rubbing alcohol, the highest percent you can find (70% or something) spray them one time per day for a week or so and this seems to work for me. I've never had to do that for semps though...I didn't realize they could be a problem with semps Thumbs down Good luck! I tip my hat to you.
