Summertime, not as large as in past years. I normally add a little water during dormancy, did not this year, so there was shrinkage, hate when that happens!

Very beautiful amaryllis . They always bring a smile. 😊 Hurray!
So nice to live in a climate where they can be grown outside.
How long do the flowers last ?

Amazindirt..that's a gorgeous butterfly . Huge bulb?

All the bulbs I forced for the holidays are all hanin out in pots. Just green foliage...happy campers...

yes, it is apple blossom

Amount of pink depending on the amount of nitrogen fertilizer that it is getting a year before that and amount of sun light.

I do not force bloom, I have green leaves all year around

All my amaryllis also have green leaves all year in pots. Can't grow them outside in my zone... but when the weather warms in spring I put them outside until fall.
Holidays always is a lot brighter and cheerful, especially in the mist of winter, snow , while the garden plants are asleep. It's so enjoyable to see the amaryllis blooms in any season really. Yours are so pretty. I will remember to put nitrogen fertilizer in the apple blossom bulb. I guess I better get that fertilizer in the apple blossom pots quickly for next season. Thanks for the info.

Bea, in the Southern areas of the USA, traditionally 9a, they can be grown outside year round. They are often referred to as the Southern's Tulip, since they can be enjoyed as spring color in the manner that colder areas enjoy tulips and other spring bulbs that need a chilling during dormancy. The flowers on my outdoor Amaryllis last as long as they would as indoor potted bulbs. In my case (9a), the height of blooming is in April with a few early ones in March and a few late ones into mid May. In this forum, some gardeners are able to grow Amaryllis bulbs in the ground in zone 8b. It can be a matter of experimentation to find a sheltered microclimate, with some protection if a frost is expected. The foliage can freeze, but you need to keep the bulb from freezing. The enemy is as much moisture as it is cold. So the amount of winter moisture and soil drainage can also be a factor as to success in your zone.

Flowers last about a week-9 days

Grifinia can bloom several times a year, no specific month

I use urea as nitrogen fertilizer, you can also use extract from horse/cow manure if you have access to it

I have another very nice double white amaryllis. The doubles really are stunning. Now that you mention it ,
I remember the post exchanges about the limited access you have had for bulbs in the past. Can you order from the Netherlands?

Now you have seen most of my collection . In cold snowy winters it so important to force these bulbs and many other bulbs for Holiday celebrations. They bring the sunshine in our homes and help make it thru some cold and snowy winters.

Bea, you were asking about different countries ordering bulbs from the Netherlands. A good example is Royal Colors, that is no longer shipping outside of the EU. If you want to legally order from other countries, you have to be sure that they are getting the necessary plant inspections and permits to comply withyour particular country's customs importation rules. My personal experience is with RC, whose refusal to get the proper permitting, had their orders intercepted by USA customs in Dec, 2020.

bsharf.. thank you. It seems to loose sales to many countries especially the US seems a real loss economy wise to not follow hort/insect entry rules. Many countries don't want to pass on insects or plant based diseases. Every time I receive a order from Holland any amaryllis all the bulbs always have the red spot fungus. The red blotches on the bulbs I treat before planting. Guessing that is an accepted disease in the US market with amaryllis bulbs .

@Amazindirt..... Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Stardust and Santiago two amaryllis I have not seen before. Very different color on Santiago. Almost a red purple combo looking close to a burgundy rather than a red . And speckles/freckles on Stardust as well as the shape of petals really lives up to its name...
The brilliant blooms are magnificent. In my opinion it's really quite a surprise to see something new with the amazing 🤩 amaryllis.

Where did you find these beauties.? Very impressive . I tip my hat to you.

You can get both of these varieties at a fair number of places these days. In my case, I got Santiago from Easty to Grow Bulbs back in 2019, and that Stardust came from Bloomsz, also in 2019.
