We will all be missing Jack for a very long time. It seems like I could almost always tell if a photo was his without looking at who posted it. Thanks for posting Deby. Know that our thoughts are with you and your family.
Deby and Family - I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved husband, who was also a father, grandfather, and brother. What an amazing man he was! A part of his life will live on .... here on Garden.org in his priceless posts and his amazing photos!
I, too, thought of Jack and Sharon just chatting it up, in Heaven! Jack became a treasure to so many here. He will be genuinely missed in so many ways. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. May a sense of peace settle over you and all who loved Jack. His legacy lives on in the imprint that he left here on this gardening site and in the family he left behind. May peace be with you.

I just read of Jack's passing, my condolences to Deby and family during such a sad time, may you find peace in your memories and the beautiful garden he loved so much.
I'll always remember his beautiful flowers and butterflies, always a kind soul, I'm sure in person he was a pure goodhearted gentleman. I've always loved this poem written by my husband's grandmother, it hangs on my wall, it reflects the gardens we all love, and I know Jack would have liked it.
Sherri - That poem by your husband's grandmother is beautiful. What a talent with words! I could imagine the garden as I read each line. I bet Jack would have appreciated it, too. Thank you for sharing it with us.

That poem is outstanding and very inspiring! We can learn from its words and their meaning. "Flowers so like people" carries an important message, at least for me. Thanks Becky for sharing this treasure.

Leon - That poem was by sunkissed husband's grandmother. I wished I could take credit for it, but that was Sheri's to share! And that is so true about the similarities of people and flowers!

I too echo what others have said. Jack had helped me identify some mislabeled daffodils this past spring. What a great spirit and strength of mind and character to be so generous in sharing his expertise even when he was fighting the deadliest of cancers at the time. My condolences to you, Deby!
Becky and Sunkissed, thank you for sharing such beautiful poems.
