Hooray! Cliff couldn't find a suitable buyer, so his nursery will remain open for now. He has three pages of new offerings:

I ordered Paul Ecke, Jr. again. I hope I get it this year. I also ordered Belvedere, Florizel, Hiroshima's Children, Movement, and Salmon Drops.

I was tempted to order another Sweet Dream, because it's so hard to find here, despite being perhaps the most popular rose in Europe, but cooler heads prevailed and I decided the one I already have is enough. I did, however, put it at the top of my list of alternates (along with Lavender Lady and Sonia Supreme).

Thanks, Arlene. That's great to know. The pictures of it on HMF are irresistible.

Cliff sent an e-mail to say his shopping cart software had neglected to charge the handling fee and the price therefore would have to be adjusted, so I took the opportunity to ask him to add Sweet Dream back onto my order while he was adjusting. I had removed it from my order at the last minute and was kicking myself within the next few minutes. It's such a wonderful little rose and so hard to find that I really do want a duplicate.

He's shipping my roses to me early next week. So exciting!

He has so many roses I had never heard of, and I go to San Jose Heritage Rose Gardens a lot so I have seen many old obscure ones. Lots of temptations on his site, every one should jump at them while you have a chance. I am not in a position to even consider buying any right now but I enjoy looking. Big Grin

Ohhh, I like the looks of that Belvedere! And I remember when you first posted Paul Ecke Jr., wow!
I better stop looking.

Zuzu, why don't you have Tropical Amazone?

Sue, I looked at Tropical Amazone and was tempted, but then I decided I already have hundreds of roses that look exactly like that. It's definitely my kind of rose, but space is now so limited that I'm trying to concentrate on unique roses rather than lookalikes. Another one that tempted me was Kiss of Fire, but after passing up the opportunity to buy a nice grafted one from Pickering, I couldn't imagine buying a rooted cutting at a much higher price.
