Thread OP

ciao I write from Italy. I'm very happy to join this forum. In Italy it is quite difficult to find info on Clematis, don't know why.

I need to understand what Clematis do I have and to which pruning group they belong.

here are the pictures.

Clematis A has four petals and is purple. this is the third time it blooms this year since spring.

Clematis B has bigger dark pink flowers.

thank you a lor for your help!!!!!

ciao

Hello Giulia, Welcome!
Both of your plants are group 3.
The pink one is Ville de Lyon.
The purple is hard to say exactly as there are many purple viticellas. I think it is Etoile Violette although it is mostly pictured with 6 petals. The number of petals on the flowers are usually variable from 4 to 6. The picture of just the flower can help us to determine the name more accurately.

I agree #2 is the distinct Ville de Lyon.
