Very interesting banner. My eye was drawn to the grasshopper, so for me the grasshopper was the star. I don't like them in my garden, though! Hilarious!

Wonderful sharp details on what appears to be a rather petite kind of grasshopper. They're fascinating creatures, taken one at a time!

Eeek! Hilarious! Good bird food, though, so I don't get too concerned about a few here and there. Smiling

Very striking banner. My instinct was to grab the grasshopper, I just couldn't get a grip on it this time. Blinking Green Grin!

I see you live in Michigan also. The grasshopper was actually a normal size. The flower was HUGE!

Thanks for the size perspective. I've seen some pretty small grasshoppers in recent years, along with the normal sized ones, so I did wonder. Almost every time I have visited garden displays of dahlias in recent years, I've seen some grasshoppers, whereas I often see none of them on other types of blooms. Maybe it's because dahlias are late bloomers and grasshoppers don't show up until later in the summer. One of life's little mysteries.

Yes, I now live in Michigan, but that is a fairly recent move, compared to the number of years I've lived in other places.
