The golden creeping jenny is not from seed swaps. However, the garlic, green-leafed pigsqeak (Bergenia) and nearly black leafed Heuchera are all seed swap babies.

I still have about a dozen containers to plant out! It has been so dry for a long time, the ground was like concrete. Plus, it seems like we went to from it being way too cold to way too hot to plant, without much in between "spring" weather! The things I managed to get in the ground seem stunted. Annuals that were supposed to be two feet tall are still six inches tall but flowering! We finally got about 1.5" rain last night, which will help immensely, but it came at a cost. I spent about 45 minutes in the basement late last night with the tornado sirens going off. Thankfully we dodged any damage here and still have power, but a tornado did hit about 10 miles south of here and did significant damage there to some neighborhoods.

It seems like the storm brought some cooler weather and hopefully softer ground so I can finish planting this week. Here are some pics of my first two flowering (although anemic looking) plants from the swap, both from @janinilulu.

A wild storm yesterday blew over some of my plantings and knocked out electricity until this morning, but some appreciated the rain it brought. I appreciate it not being 90 degrees today.

@Phytocraft's mix of runner beans look great. I don't eat them, but I love the look of them, and bumblebees and hummingbirds like them, too. I have brilliant orange, red and these two, a bicolor that looks a lot like 'Sunset' and a pure white, from those seeds.

Not from a trade, but this is two plants from a Petunia grown from seeds I bought from Summerhill they called Tsunami. Their photo and description both portray this as a Burgundy flower. I sent them a message asking to verify that this was the correct color, because frankly I would never choose a Petunia this color, although I did not say that, but got no response. I can't fault its vigor, though.

My marigolds from the swap are finally taking off! I lost a few at the seedling stage to insects and then I was very late getting them in the ground.
Tagetes erecta 'Jaguar' from @lovesblooms

Tagetes erecta 'Durango Red' from @ishareflowers

Signet Marigold (Tagetes tenuifolia) from @MrsBinWY

Marigold (Tagetes erecta 'Burning Embers') from @janinilulu
I think this is Tagetes linnaeus like you added in your notes. It is 2-3 feet tall, so much taller than a french marigold. I don't see anything in the plants database here labeled as that though. I did find this page for it which looks right. https://www.selectseeds.com/an...

I think the pollinators are really gonna like some of these simple less ruffly marigolds come fall. The marigolds usually bloom all the way until a hard frost and late migrating butterflies frequent them here.

I also just realized that the Singara Rat's Tail Radishes from @Danita, weren't just flowering, they already had some very long seed pods. I haven't tried them yet, but will soon. I didn't expect them to get so long!

Last year's tomatoes were not good, too wet and some of my favorites drowned. I planted on higher ground this year and have been harvesting since late May. Plenty to share, if you're in the neighborhood.
These are all from last year's seed swap, the first basketful I picked this morning. Thanks, friends!

I've been having fun watching Seseli gummiferum -- Moon Carrot -- develop. I planted the seedlings in 2019 (seeds from GeoSeeds), and about half of them are going to bloom this year. I understand they're monocarpic, so I'm hoping to catch seeds to share Smiling

@audreydee - This year's showing of that Nicotiana that somehow evolved from your long-tubed white UI one. It insists on dropping every immature seed pod, but it DOES make tubers.

Thumb of 2021-08-19/janinilulu/b2a9b3

I placed this tuber on our front step (in the sun!) to take some pics and left it there for a few days. Feeling sorry for the poor thing, I planted it in the front garden bed where it's proceeding to bloom. They are tough...and beautiful. I'll continue to keep my eyes peeled for mature seed pods.
