This plant is not in full bloom but the photo might be enough for ID. I need an ID to post this plant on my FB page. I'm guessing for Eucomis, but I haven't confirmed.

Not Eucomis. My thought was Albuca.

Thank you Calif_Sue. That ID checks out!
I know that I planted three of these bulbs in my South African bed but I must have acquired them under another name without appreciating its tendency to spread. It;'s OK, I'll keep eyess on it.

They spread by little bulbils growing off the bulbs but, unless you remove the bulbils (you can if you want more plants in other places) they just pile up and make enormous mounds. I had a couple in my garden in CA that were 2 x 2 ft wide and a foot tall.
