looking through over 1000s pics now. Nothing that detailed.
here's another one:

and this I'm not even sure if is the same species. I can't tell if these are growing from a grass and seeing possible differences in maturity and seasons. To me this seems like another species as the stock is not as dense and rigid. Concerned these are all Cutthroat Seep Grass, with the first ones being many years old.

I might have species confused. property is very wild.

what's most confusing and different is the stems and shoots. in some cases looks like a grass, in others appears like shoots right out the ground. some are hollow like a grass , some are thick and solid. could be maturity. Maybe what happens to a mature blade?

close , but looks too bushy especially especially when sprouting.
