Wow, this one began 10 years ago, when we were still the Rose Cubit, before ATP/NGA existed. Back then, we could only have one image per post.

I don't know if these are striped roses, but here goes:

This is my first Double Delight bloom. I don't think it has quite opened.

Mustbnuts, I especially like your two photos of Vick's Caprice. Is there a way I could be permitted to use one of them to help illustrate an article I've written?

Also, if any of you belong to the Heritage Roses Group, you receive its quarterly ROSE LETTER. In the forthcoming February issue will be an article on striped roses.

My favorite is 'Commandante Beaurepaire'.

Carol mentioned that my last two submissions in the striped rose category were not striped. Here is another. I looked it up on line and Scentimental was characterized as striped.

My Scentimental with no two roses the same, but that's probably true for all striped roses which makes them so interesting:

Kristine - lovely! I especially love your Rock and Roll and Memphis Music.!

Rosemary - I love your Scentimental!!! I've always shied away from getting that rose...not sure why...maybe it doesn't sing to me. Hilarious! But your photos are making me reconsider!!

I realized that there are few of the other striped combinations in my yard. 'Caribia' as sold here just is blooming its head off. I've got two bushes, one more than 30 yrs old that would benefit from rejuvenation. It has survived my years of neglect, which shows that it's a toughie.

I do grow the red/white striped group with:
two OGrs. 'Ferdinand Pichard', 'Rosamundi' and two HT's ' Tocade' and the climber 'Fourth of July'. I can't make up my mind.... Sighing!
I simply love stripeys! Green Grin!
This season I lost to canker 'Anvil Sparks' Thumbs down which could've been a good companion to Caribia. I do hope that my nursery will offer her again soon! Crossing Fingers!
There's one other stripey combination to look into here:
'Mme Driout' that is also a short climber

just like Kris I would love to see every striped rose posted in this thread here in my yard! Green Grin! Well, limitations...I've been told... Sighing! D'Oh!

Thank You! Carol, and Kris. As Zuzu pointed out earlier this year, when Scentimental was first introduced, it was white with red stripes, as in Dennis' post; but as time has gone on, now they are all red with white stripes! The stripes always were intriguing to me, but I bought it because it was listed as #1 for fragrance for potpourris. I haven't used it for that yet! Maybe next year.
