Lindsey, look at those leaves on the Rhychostylis, they are a lighter gray green color with slight furrows running lengthwise from the base to the tip of the leaf. I think that is typical for a Rhynchostylis.
Also the roots coming out from the plant. Phalaenopsis roots are a bit thinner and almost perfectly smooth. I think those Rhynchostylis roots are a little thicker and tougher in texture. They are similar but different.
If you guys have a Rhynchostylis handy, go check it out!

I was just floored because those flowers looked so large to me! Unless it's trick photography?!

I just measured the blooms on the Rhynchostylis, They are just a touch over 1 1/4" . Not sure if they are fragrant, I will move the basket. It is still close to the glass for maximum light and out of my reach to stick my nose into it. We have lousy weather today, so it is definitely a greenhouse day/ cleaning catch trays .etc. And yes, those roots are really thick and sturdy, I will take a pic.

Lindsey, the 'Cheetah' is a cutie! Lovey dubby

Well then the angle of the image fooled me.
I think for now it could be labeled as Rhynchostylis gigantea 'Spots'.

A closer look at 'Spots'! I bought the plant firmly planted into straight Sphagnum, but knowing that my watering practices would kill it in this medium, I moved it right away into a basket and anchored it with some Coconut fiber. The roots took off! Smiling

I'll say they took off, it looks like more roots than foliage. Impressive!

Talking about some really weird Orchid personalities?
These are all old pictures of mine, the plants are no longer with me, but they were truly enjoyed. These were/are Winter bloomers in NJ.
Bulbophyllum patens is in the database, but here is another view

and there are my all time favorites- Sigmatostalix ( now Oncidium) eliae
Thumb of 2021-01-07/Ursula/c1b954
and Sigmatostalix unguiculata

Weird enough? Smiling
