Tjank you David. I only got it last year and it is amazing how it is everywhere this year. If I get the weeds out of the mix it might make a nice ground cover.
Now to put it on my list for the swap.

@greenthumb99 how are you!?!!
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

Busy, busy Chantell. I work Tuesday through Saturday at Watermark Woods Native Plant Nursery in Hamilton, Virginia. I also do some occasional garden work for a private household, have a vegetable garden at the nursery, germinate and grow uncommon species at home for work, and do household gardening. Consequently, I spend few daylight hours inside and my fingernails are never clean. I do get to spend my days with plants, plant focused people, fresh air, and a wide range of critters, large and small. Love hearing all the sounds of nature, and on Saturdays the winery next to the nursery has live music.

David and I also managed to fit in 2 trips to Black Creek in PA!

He wasn't kidding about his germinating endeavors. We used to be able to sit out on the patio; no more!

I just put a couple of lemon balm & monarda starts on my swap trade list. I don't know the variety on the Monarda, but it's a very pretty dark red, think "victorian christmas red." It was supposed to be purple when Terri bought it! The nursery took it back, but during the return process a couple of stems broke and found their way into my car. Whistling Overwinters well in a pot for me. If you don't have a chance to dibs it, wishlist it... I can probably pot up a few more in the morning.

I'm taking plants over to Terri's either tomorrow or Tuesday (depending on weather, since I want to tour her gardens!). I didn't get very far with the water garden divisions yesterday, but there are a couple of horsetail divisions on my list. Pat, I did put a couple things aside for David's bog garden (including a starter pot of horsetails), and when I have more things divided I'll come by with them or drop them off at Terri's.

I've been working in the yard all day, trying to clean things up. One of the things I did was setup the bench that was supposed to go to Larry's garden at 4-H. I have so much crap (literally and figuratively) to move or dispose of, both outside and inside. I'm trying to put down enough mulch so that the driveway is clear. Those 3cf bags are heavy!

The swap tool confuses me. Long story short, a couple items that have multiple dibs, may need to be shorted. I 'thought' I had set them to one or two items. I am sorry if I can't fulfill the multiples.
Plant it and they will come.

What I accomplished today:
- Cleaned most of the crap off of the porch and carport roof
- Cleaned the carport front gutters
- Laid the concrete slabs for the bench
- Set up the bench that was to go to the 4-H center
- Potted up the Hosta Blue Mouse Ears
- Potted up the Hosta White Feather
- Potted up the Hosta Albomarginata
- Potted up the Hosta Golden Tiara
- Planted a whole bunch of snap dragons
- Put down 9 bags of mulch
- Restacked the remaining bags of mulch off of the driveway
- Went in to work for a couple of hours

So why do I feel like I didn't get much accomplished?

To the people who dibbed peppers from Pat, the Mucho Nachos are Jalapenos, and in the upper range of Jalapeno heat. The Fooled You peppers are Jalapenos with flavor but no heat.

@RalphGambia, I think I had my jewelweed listed incorrectly. It has yellow blooms, so I believe it is Impatiens pallida. I've corrected the entry on my list. Just LYK in case it makes a difference to you!

I pulled some more peanut butter shrub (small tree) starts a few days ago, and they are looking fine, so I'll put them on the swap list. For the fragrance and showiness of the bloom as well as the interesting fragrance of the leaf when rubbed, I think everybody should have one of these. Just plant it where you can mow around it to control root shoots. If you want a blooming sized one and can come to Frederick to dig it, let me know... there are a few that "got away" and will be cut down if nobody speaks up for them.

Well, I've gone back and forth on the jewelweed ID before... you'd think I could remember whether or not the flowers have any orange in them! So all I can say is that my many many seedlings are jewelweed, could be pale (yellow) or spotted (yellow and orange). I went back through several years of garden photos and can't find a picture. Rolling my eyes.

I had bought Tea Olive, it grew and had flowers, I do not think that my nose recognized its fragrance. Its other name is Osmanthus fragrans. It is supposed to be very fragrant, the Chinese uses it often in their cookies or bread, but my nose does not seem to recognize its fragrance---I can taste it in their cookies----The funny thing to me is the Chinese pinyin spelling, it is the same as my sister's Chinese name, but the tones are different, so the meaning of her name is not that flower but a mysterious jade stick in China--unfortunately she does not remember exactly how it was written in Chinese Characters, but she remembers it has - and + and I remember the 2nd character means China, no flower like my name--My grandfather gave me my name, and my father's best friend gave my sister her name. He was a person who knew a lot about Chinese culture and history.----By the way, after 2 or 3 years growing ini a large pot near the East Window, I forgot to water it too long and it died-it was in a self-watering pot----Just like my Kaffir lime tree.---End of the story of my Osmanthus----

@greenthumb99 Wow you do a LOT --"have a vegetable garden at the nursery, germinate and grow uncommon species at home for work," sounds so interesting. I have never grown vegetables, and HOW do you geminate species???----

Well. I am embarrassed because the swap tool has allowed me to have 'sold' items that I did not expect to have. The quantity doesn't seem to stop even if I say offers zero. So I might not have all the items dibbed/sold.. and how can I decide who gets shorted? Sad
(Have I already whined about this? If so, sorry)
Also, my Euonymus is atropurpureus, I may have changed the species during this process, and someone's s dib says americanus..
Plant it and they will come.

That's odd. I see other items where the quantity is zero, and the "dibs" treasure chest is no longer next to the name. Roll dice to decide who gets shorted. Stuff happens, and we all understand that. I've had rabbits eat things I was planning to offer. If I asked for anything you're short on, take me off the list!
