Welcome!
Looking up the image, it looks like it came from an online retailer? I found it a few places, including amazon. All as a listing for the pot... The plants in all the images are fake, so I suspect that this one too.

The leaves do look similar and that was my first thought until I looked more closely at the plant in Joel's photo; those leaves appear to have scalloped margins like those of Hydrocotyle.

I think it looks more like the one Lin posted with the ridges on the edges of the leaves.

WOW! this is an awesome forum!
Thank you Thank you fine folks!

I concur with Lin and Hamwild about either dollarweed or floating pennyworth. The leaf ridges differentiated it from Chinese Money Plant (Pilea peperomioides) which has smooth edges.

thank you @sumire for the welcome! i did find the pic from a retailer. i was more interested with the plant not so much with the pot.

thanks y'all!

i found this pic (Hydrocotyle Vulgaris) which resembles my earlier pic more.

Same genus as floating pennyworth @plantladylin.

Yes, it sure looks like a variety of Hydrocotyle, common names of Dollarweed, Pennywort, Marsh Penny. In some areas, they are considered invasive.

Agree with plantladylin
Pilea peperomioides tends to grow taller and forms a main stem.

Hydrocotyle does not do this.

Pilea peperomioides and Hydrocotyle both have long leaf stems/petioles and the leaf size and shape is similar in both but Pilea leaves do not have scalloped margins like those of Hydrocotyle and as Silversurfer mentioned, Pilea has a woody stem, Hydrocotyle does not. Here's a photo of my Pilea showing the stem:

i was closely looking at the first picture I sent and I agree with @sumire that the plant in the picture is an artificial one, but its a mimic of the plant in the blue and white pot. i like it too @calif_sue... to me the visual is aesthetically pleasing - the vertical height of a group of skinny stems under a canopy of shiny green serrated disks!
