sunkissed said: I remember reading about HD plants, luckily we have a couple nurseries that sell pesticide free plants.

We used to have several nurseries in the county. The last one closed last year. Sad

If I want to travel, there is a huge daylily farm in the neighboring county, and they also sell other nursery plants.

Then if I travel 30 miles in another direction, there is a Green Acres nursery, which is quite large. There used to be several nurseries all around as well...so few now.

I've bought very few plants from Home Depot, I'd much rather buy from our local nurseries. But even just looking around, I've never noticed those labels on their plants from the stores that are near me, but I'm glad I don't buy from them and risk it.

And I finally found a local garden center that sells Wendy's Wish Salvia every year! My version of local is within a 70 mile radius, this place is only 37 miles away, so not bad at all. I'm really getting anxious for spring and flower shopping.

We have a huge nursery in Conway that has at least 10 greenhouses, plus a large indoor are where they sell garden accessories. It's called Fredelhovens. I never knew about it until a friend told me. I will be checking it out later in the spring. Conway is about 30 miles away. Better than driving all the way to lLittle Rock.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

Seeing all the pictures of the hummingbirds makes me miss them so much…we don't get any hummingbirds over here, only when they're migrating and they only stay to rest. Sad

In California they were so aggressive. (The male hummingbirds) they wouldn't allow any other hummingbird near when one of them was drinking. So it only had to be one hummingbird at a time on the hummingbird feeder Hilarious!

I have had that same problem here, Abigail. Last year a male kept trying to chase the female off of her nest and away from her babies after they hatched. Was the most agressive male I have ever seen. Crying

They are like that here too. I remember when I was visiting a friend in MO. and a restaurant had feeders hanging out all around the outdoor sitting area covered with hummers all at once, I was like a little kid in a candy store. I never see them do that here.
