Yes, Lyle, that was great to know about using the white paper. I've used the portrait mode too - I like the way it will blur the background.

Shannon - Portofino is a nice daylily. Another daylily i like is Linda's Magic one of my earliest blooms in the garden, also the pollen parent of Portofino.

Sue - I also like the first photo, It is easy this time of year with the sun lower in the sky to get a good photo without a filter, but as the sun gets higher in the sky some color require a filter, of some type.
