Is Peaches a cat? I have a cat named Peach! And yes, that hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dish liquid remedy does work well. We've had to use it twice. Sounds like spring in your region is similar to what we have here...just starting to green up.
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."

Yes, Peaches is a cat. A grey/yellow/white calico. She was our neighbor's cat and we got her when they were about to move several states away. She'd been a barn cat and wasn't very tame. It took quite a while to gain her confidence and she still runs from other people. We kept her in a shed where I fed her for about 5 days, then one evening I let her out and I think she went "home" except that there was nobody there so a few days later she came back knowing there was food here.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
