I didn't see them listed on the Garden Watchdog.

I have a gardening friend that lives 15 minutes from there and asked her if she had ever shopped there. She responded 'Our experience is so-so depending on time of year. They pull out primo plants for special customers like nurseries and the rest of us get a tiny product big price. It is a large place & you drive a golf cart with a map to locate plants.'

BTW, here is a pic of her beautiful garden.

Hello, everyone. I see that you have some questions about Sandy' Plants. I work there and would be very happy to answer your questions, if I can. We are a grower of perennials located on more than 30 acres in Mechanicsville Va. Retail customers are welcomed at the farm and we provide golf carts for you. If you own a "green" business we would love to discuss setting up a wholesale account for you. We grow over 2000 varieties of perennials. They are in all stages of growth from just planted to mature and blooming. You are responsible for choosing a plant that will suit your circumstances. When you check out, we do try to alert you if you have chosen one that is small. If you are a member of a club, please call the office to find out about group tours. Sandy loves talking to groups and showing them around her display gardens. She has garden walks several times a year for retail customers. If you cannot get to the nursery and live in Va, Md.,Dist. of Col., or N. Carolina, check with your local nursery. If they order from us, you may be able to special order the plant that you are interested in. We DO SHIP any of the stepables to retail customers. Minimum order is 2 flats. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Wow! 30 acres might be worth the drive. Sounds like a nice place to visit. Do you have a website or catalog? Blinking

by the way!! Welcome! Welcome!

The website is www.sandysplants.com Please note that just because a plant is listed on the website does not necessarily mean that it is being grown right now. If you are interested in a specific plant, you should call and ask if it is in cultivation or if it is planned for later in the season. We have a very nice retail catalogue. You may order one by calling the office at 804.746.7092. They were $4.00 plus postage in 2012. The price may be slightly higher for 2013. I hope that you will be able to visit this Spring. If you love perennials, you will love Sandy's Plants. I have never had a customer who couldn't find something special. The season is in full swing by mid-March. We do not recommend buying plants that have not broken dormancy, so please call regarding ferns, hemerocallis, peonies, grasses and the like.

Welcome! Dianemarie! Welcome!

Thank you for the information! I tip my hat to you. I hope you keep posting on ATP! Thumbs up We would all love for you to join us here at ATP!

Since I live in KY, I wouldn't be able to take advantage, but Susan, you're the first person I thought of!

Maybe you could get DH to take a drive with you to Sandy's Plants! Sounds like a wonderful place with 30 acres! Hurray!
