First-time member. Not very techy. Is this how I register to attend (with hubby)? I listed items in the exchange. (I could bring potato salad...unless I'm not properly 'signed up'...and you're already filled up.) --Kathy Kevany

@kkevany03

Welcome! You're almost there. You are registered, and I see that you have a few items in your swap list. Now, what you need to do is enable them for this swap. When you view your swap list, there is a grey check mark to the left of each item. Click that, and it should turn green, making the item visible and available. This will also get you tickets to call dibs on things already being offered.

Fun to see several new "faces" on this thread! Now I'm even more sorry that I won't be able to come. Hopefully you'll have such a great time that you'll come to the next swap, too!

Just as an FYI - our Walmarts are carrying Tea Olives Hurray! They're $20 - if anyone wants me to pick them up one let me know. It's a generic one so I'm not sure on hardiness. I can tell you that I planted mine south facing up against the old townhouse and it did just fine. The scent of those lil blooms though...OMG!!! Lovey dubby
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

Chantell, how big are they? I'll see if I can check my WM first. I was just thinking a tea olive might work in the new ENE foundation bed. With that swoon-worthy scent you keep telling me about, I'd even just pot it and put it into the garage for the winter.

Chantell, yes please! That's a good size for that price, I think. If you don't make it back there this week, don't stress about it though... I'll get one eventually!

I'm trying to add a couple of just-potted items to my swap list, but I'm having trouble adding and editing -- I just get a blank-ish page. Anybody else having issues? I probably just need to restart my computer, but that's always a pain because I tend to have a lot of tabs open (I jump from one thing to another and back again.)

Chantell,
IF they still have them, I'd like one also. I have no idea where I'd put it, but that's half the fun!

Rick, I looked up tea olives, and they don't need full sun like I'd always thought. Part shade is fine, but they'll bloom best with at least 5 hours of direct sun. I was thinking I might pot mine the first year, see if that helps me figure out where it'll be happy.

I read somewhere that if there's enough light to charge up a little solar path light, you can consider it "full sun." I just got 10 little solar lights at Aldi's. May have to try them in some different places to compare...

Jill and Rick - yes, my previous one was in part sun. I'll go tomorrow since I'm leaving for a mini family vacation Sat AM. I still need to p/u a few things any way. I'll grab 2 if they have any left. You'll love them. Jill - had to laugh re the tabs...that is like that both on my personal laptop and my work one...drives my counter-part crazy when she sees it LOL. Thank God the recent updates allow you to reopen previous tabs that were open if you have to shut the computer down. Back in the day it would put me in the fetal position. Rolling on the floor laughing #truestory
