So is 'Love's Triangle' a cultivar name or just a common name for Sedum anglicum? Paghat's article seems to indicate a common name. I haven't seen it bloom yet. I got it from Garland's and have it planted on the "table". Is there a list of accepted cultivar names somewhere?
I find it in google searches as a cultivar name, but can't seem to find the origin of the name.
I see we have another S. anglicum with a cultivar name. http://garden.org/plants/searc...
Connie, I don't moderate the Sedum database anymore. It shouldn't be long before it is approved, and then you can make the new addition of information.
Can't wait to see it in the database, it is such a cool looking sedum.
Yes that is a pretty one Connie!! I'll have to keep my eyes open for it in nurseries around here! @valleylynn You don't moderate the sedum forum anymore?? Is it just Goldfinch4 or someone else??
Some of my Sedum are going dormant now. It is fun to see the ones that will be everygreen, they are starting to stand out in the beds. The S. dasyphyllum is beautiful right now. I need to get a new photos for a late fall entry in the database.
Thanks for clearing that up, Chris. I also thought Lynn was not doing the sedum forum which would have been sad cause I believe that sedum and semps go together ... . ..and echeverias and sedum pair up even better (IMHO).
zuzu approved my proposal for 'Love's Triangle'. It looks like there isn't a specific moderator for the sedum data base, otherwise that name(s) would be at the top of this page:

HEY, EVERYONE, I hope all had a wonderful thanksgiving!!!
I am so glad to be back!! My wonderful hubby took pictures of my pet project (the rock garden) when i couldn't get to my plants or was in the hospital, at different times so i wouldn't miss the color changing of the semp's & the sedum's change .I have talked a lot about it because this is the first time i've grown sedums & semp's. I didn't want to miss watching the colors turn from warm season into their winter colors ,i watched them finish turning mostly green this summer.
I've been so excited to see what my Sedum are going to do with the changing season. I have lots of pictures & i haven't been able to talk about my pet project with anyone besides the hubby. So thats your fair warning i have lots & lots of pictures as well as lots of questions!!!
Lets start with my sedum lineare 'variegatum' here it has started getting a pinkish tint to it
after some cold weather, the plant is dying back but look at the new growth coming out in the center & the colors
The tips are the only part of the stems still good.Should i leave them alone,I figured leave them
I took these last pictures today Friday the 6th
Should i try to root those tips? They seem to be tough maybe worth rooting or does this plant not die back completely & get all new growth. What exactly is normal for this plant?? new growth in winter?
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
Can't answer your questions now but sure glad to see your postin and photos, Jelinda!!!
Welcome back and yes, I had a great thanksgiving; for me it was all about the people, not about the food (though pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top is important).
Love all your jumping emoticons cause it indicates to me your happiness while you are typing and wonderful to see all your new sedum growth. None of that happening here.
Take care!
