Hello to all and Happy Holidays!

Greg, love your new moved beds!
Welcome Laszlo, love your pictures!

Been away for quite awhile as job was quite demanding this fall. New principal, state auditing, and new science standards have kept me busy! Anyone who thinks a teacher has an easy 8-3 job can come fill my shoes for a week!!! I have had days where I have still been at school after 10 pm!!! My poor garden was a slightly neglected this fall but most my semps did just fine! Red lion has several chicks-yeah!!!

I just spent the last hour reading and catching up on this thread...thanks to all your wonderful pictures, my wish list is a mile long and I plan to visit SMG and other nursery sites after posting this! Hurray!

Joyfully,
Lisa
Love what you teach and teach what you love!

Hurray! YEAH Lisa. So good to see you again. I have a friend that is a teacher, so understand what you are saying. Group hug

Our much loved semps thrive on neglect, aren't we fortunate to have them? Smiling

I am finding Purple Dazzler to have great beauty even in winter colors. I think this is going to be one of my new favorites.

@JungleShadows And just look at the beautiful form and coloring of this one in winter colors. Kevin should have a name for it soon. Hurray!

Lynn,

Yes I need to name that Skrocki 51 X Minaret seedling. It was one that got messed up in the transition from Oakhill Gardens to alpine Gardens, partly because I had sent it to Helen to decide if it should be named.

Now to think of a good name! I have given pieces to Toby and i think i gave both Cynda and you pieces of it too before I was going to market anything. The reason I made the cross was to make the form of Skrocki 51 better. it had lovely color but very ugly irregular form.

I agree with Bev, it sure did work Kevin. The form and color is beautiful, and really does deserve a permanent name.

Sorry for the pokey answer Lynn - yup, mine are under lots of snow. Luckily. We're having some extremely low temps these days. Highs for the day in the single digits.

Kevin, that is a beauty!
