Lynn - see Serse, she's good huh!!
Serse, do you remember where you posted the ligth fixture photo? I'm trying to get back to look at it and see what plants are in there and I'm not locating it...I'm flaky sometimes
Greg, I posted the pics in the Succulent Containers 2012 forum! There is echeveria topsy turvy, Sedum nussbaumerianum 'Coppertone', and one that I'm not certain about...

Yeah, I found it! The other one looks like a type of graptoverium or something like that...see partly why I'm fine with NOID's is because I can never remember the names...they're always on the tip of my tongue Nice planting Serse! Thank you!
Greg- through searching endlessly through pics, I believe it to be graptopetalum paraguayense 'ghosty'. The green succulents in the light fixture are the same as the ones in my avatar photo; they are just lacking a little sunshine at the time the container picture was taken!

I struggle with the names too- until I started searching for that plant, I had no idea there was such a thing as graptopetalum, much less multiple types and hybrids...you learn something new every day though, i guess!

Also its confusing to have graptopetalum and graptoveria (which I think is a graptopetalum mixed with an echeveria!) if you google echeveria there are amazing photos, and also especially if you google graptoveria!
Cheers
Oh wow google graptopetalum bellum! that is a lovely plant! Many of these look like Jovibarba heuffelii - very much so! only I think these graptopetalum aren't monocarpic, meaning they bloom once and then die, hopefully sending up chicks - semps are monocarpic So I usually order more than one of what I order, last year I ordered several cultivars but only one, and several bloomed before sending out chicks Oh well! I may replace through trading here!

Serse, when you get to the point of appreciating or admiring certain characteristics of several different plants, you might ask yourself, "why can't we make a plant out of a little of this plant and a little of that plant?" For me, it's why can't semervivums be bigger and cushiony looking. Well, the echeveria is the bigger and cushiony version of the sempervivms for me. That's why I love them too!
Aren't they fabulous???
absolutely beautiful, Bev! wow! I also love the more fleshy and full looking appearance of the echeverias. That larger one on the left is incredible! and I love that grouping on the right

To reach a point "appreciating or admiring certain characteristics of several different" you have to first become long in the tooth also .

Arif.
Arif, that's why I said "when you get to the point of...". Of course, I feel like I'm halfway there, because, I started wishing already and you may be hovering too?
Bev that is a beautiful grouping tender succulents. Love the color of Echeveria Violet Queen.
I am thinking we have some 'not so long in the tooth' members that have great appreciation and admiration of certain plant characteristics. I believe some come to that at a very young age and others it comes when we get older.
Lynn are you honestly sure about the not so long in the tooth members . Maybe a needle in the haystack kind of situation.
Bev right behind you, no fear I will be there . The complete bunch to give company.
Regards,
Arif.
Lynn when I saw this yesterday I knew you'd love them! Thanks for the link, a really cool site for info on the plant!
The funny part about being semi-long in the tooth (low 50's) one sees ones teeth getting longer! Something I never really thought about until it began to happen...then the expression and the fact that older people seem to have large teeth...it all made send!
