Thread OP

Hello!

I have 10-15 volunteer baby clematis that came up, and I'd like to save them somehow. I usually let them grow, but these are right at the base of the parent plant. I feel like I need to dig them up, and move them, or pot them up. I'd love to see what their blooms look like. There are more than in the photo
THANKS!!

I think I'll carefully dig them up, and plant them around the yard so they can mature enough for me to see if I like them.

Mark, I'm curious what you did with your Clematis. Did you dig them up and transplant them? Or did you let them grow?

I realize whatever you did, by now you've already done. But from the look of the picture these don't look like baby volunteer plants. They simply look like new growth from the spreading rootball of the Clematis plant. My plants do the same thing every spring.

Just noticed your post and was wondering.
