This is Pinstripe. This is the CUTEST little micromini ever! I actually have a dried one here at work that the blossom is about the size of a lima bean. And, for being such a teensy little rose, they do have a scent!

OK, forgot to look for a tag last night (hurt too badly.. my shoulders are still really really really burnt) but I checked out my invoice and I believe that this is Winter Magic. Supposed to be a lot lighter, but with the extreme heat we've been having, it's darkened. I do not believe that this is Vista. This is that Mauve Mini I posted earlier as a NOID. This is true-to-color this morning.

EDITED: I found it's tag last night. This IS Vista. The rose I thought was Vista is a NOID. :(

I love Laburnum. It looks so good on a long arbor. Sonoma Horticultural Nursery has one section with nothing but yellow plants, and the centerpiece is a long arbor with lots of Laburnum planted on both sides. It's a spectacular sight in bloom.

I remember planting this last year as a Lagerfeld. This does NOT look like Lagerfeld. Any ideas? :(

Got a massive rainstorm last night.. does SUCH wonders. I wonder why rain is so much better than watering.. I guess it's because there's no chlorine/chloramine?

Your Lagerfeld looks like Carefree Spirit. Did you plant one of those last year? If not, I suppose it could be an atypical Dr. Huey bloom from the understock.

I have something really cool for you to see because you like mauve roses so much. I love roses with a contrasting reverse, and these two roses are nowhere near each other in my garden, but they were both in bloom yesterday and the photos of them ended up next to each other, so I was struck by the contrast.

No, English Perfume is one of the roses Zary bred for J&P. It went out of style quickly and I don't know why. Only Roses Unlimited carries it now. When it's fully open, it looks even more like an Austin.

Blueberry Hill is just striking. Glad you finally have some good blooms going on.

Totally OMG I have GOT to get one of those English Perfumes!!!! My Natasha Monet dud not survive this last heatwaves, so she's on my list as well. I just wish that someone was able to get some cuttings from that Blue Princess that I saw on DG going... Wonder why they only sell for a season or two and then gone like last year's fruit cake (which, btw, I LOVE fruitcake).

Blue Princess was some sort of fluke, as I recall. I don't know whether it was problems with the patent or with getting paid, but the grower plowed the whole field under. A few of them had been delivered to Home Depot before the rest were destroyed. I think Seedpicker bought a bunch of them, but the rest of us never were able to find the rose.

Escapade gave me a rose. I wonder why I ordered this. It's totally not like the kind of roses I like. I don't like the single roses, I don't like pink roses.
