Charlotte.

I'll post some more a little later, but this is enough to get the "parade" started.

I usually sit down at the computer for a quick cup of coffee in the morning and check to see what's going on in Cubits before I go outside. This thread and the other parade you posted today almost kept me from going outside at all, and that quick cup of coffee turned into several cups, a banana, and some yogurt before I was through enlarging each photo and going into transports over each one.

I remember how stunned I was at the time by your photo of Rachel Louise Moran, which was a J&P rose that wasn't available on this side of the pond. The next season's test panel roses from J&P included that one, so I did get my Rachel Louise Moran after all. J&P's now selling it as Peppermint Splash.

St. Robert of Chichester is now available from Hortico (yuk) and Pickering (yippee) as Sherlock Holmes.

I really want #616 and #624, which might be Livin' Easy, aka Fellowship.

Is the pale Oranges & Lemons called Rainbow Niagara, aka Marvelle, aka Tropical Sunset? My Rainbow Niagara occasionally looks that pale, but it changes with the seasons.

Zuzu, I'm so glad you've enjoyed seeing these photos again. It was fun resurrecting them from my archives. And, you've helped explain a mystery for me. When I looked in my rose list for the name of what you correctly identified as Tropical Sunset, I couldn't find it. I did, however, pause over the name Tahitian Sunset in my list, which I also have, but I knew that wasn't correct because it's a different color and pattern. I have a feeling that when I went to add Tropical Sunset to my rose list two years ago I saw Tahitian Sunset already there, and thought to myself that I must have already added it, not paying careful enough attention to the distinctions in their names. Now I shall add it!

Meanwhile, I'll have to see if I kept a record of the names for 616 and 624. There were so many roses that I saw and photographed that day that I couldn't keep track of all of them!

One of my dreams is to attend the Chelsea Flower Show someday and you've only reinforced my resolve to do so. I'll have to revisit this thread when I have more time to drool!

Wow, playing catch up with threads and am so glad to see these again! I think if I had been there I would have suffered from sensory overload and have to sit down!

That's exactly what it is, Sue, sensory overload. It's like walking through a three-dimensional kaleidoscope. Around every bend is another breathtaking garden or exhibit. You want to keep going and going, but after a while you just have to sit down. I usually sit down at the Pimms beverage tent for one of the UK's traditional warm weather drinks. After a few of those, you really need to sit down!

Zuzu - actually, that pale Oranges & Lemons looks a lot like my Citrius Splash. It faded a lot due to the strange weather. Mine doesn't have as strong as a background orange as that one does, but my Oranges has NEVER faded like that.

Here's a bad example of a faded Oranges & Lemons. It's the two flowers on the left.. you can see they turned pink rather than just fade the orange out and keep that vibrant yellow.

You know something? I just found my label for that rose, and its J&P's Cabana.
