Serse, your post got me thinking about using light fixtures for planters, so today I found myself at goodwill, and got these "planters" there are 3 matching (only 2 in photo) I like the shape and color Hurray! Lovey dubby

wow- is that planter on the far right in the first pic really deep enough? I almost bought one that shallow because I know they have shallow rooting, but I wasn't sure just how shallow it could be...

I am wondering how "doable" drilling into bowls is???

DH drills containers drain holes for me. The really hard type of porcelain is the most difficult. keeping water on the area helps.
