GigiPlumeria said:@Kaktus, must be nice to walk around the neighborhood and find all these seedpods that no one wants :).
Kaktus said:@Aashna, if you want to know how the cracks on the seedpod looks like, this is the photo that I took at a roadside in our neighborhood, I predict the seeds will be gone with the wind at noon time, want to make a few more pots for adenium challenge ?

That's awsome. Will keep a check. Mine is still not brown .
Just a vague thought. What happens if we remove seedpods which are not ripe or brown
GigiPlumeria said:@Aashna I can understand how long of a wait it seems. It was agonizing waiting for my seedpods to ripen from just a tiny dot and waiting 70+ days. Hope yours will be ripe soon :cross_finger:
I had one seedpod that I accidentally broke while repotting. The seedpod turned black and the seeds were not viable.

Aashna, why should you remove the seedpods if they are not ripe? I will be more than happy if they don't ripe fast, it means they are either growing a bigger seeds or produce more seeds..
Btw, I've seen more and more sprouts coming out, including the white variegated ones..
Wildbloomers said:@Aashna. Differently shaped healthy leaves just indicate different species/clones in the background. The seed pods look great. Also look almost mature. Don't take them off until they change color and/or start to split. If they are outside you need to wrap them loosely so that the seeds don't blow away. Different species and hybrids have differently shaped pods and even 'hang' differently. I have had pods that are horizontally straight across, some that stayed upright like a 'V', some like an inverted 'V', fat ones, skinny ones, long an short ones. No worries except not letting the seeds blow away.
Aashna said:Hey all,
Saw split on the pod today but it is on the half pod , the other one is still intact. Have covered with mesh bag as @deepsouth suggested.
Strange, 2 days back I posted pic of the pod and there was no visible sign of the split.
Can anyone tell me what is the normal size
Of the seed ?

These might be arabicum seeds. Mine were smaller but same plumpness. Size of seeds probably varies depending on the variety. What is important is the seeds are plump.
GigiPlumeria said:So, I went to HD to search for shallow pots and they had 2 seedlings that were not properly repotted They were in planted deep (see the green showing above the soil line) in the black pot (shown behind the pot). And were full of leaves with no room for proper air circulations.
So i had to take them home and repot them
And here is the finished product, I could not find shallow pots so I am using my orchid pot until I get the real terracotta pots.

The 2 small ones are from HD and the right one ($3+ more) is from W. I will use the W Adenium to save the graft cuttings of my MD#6 that has been heavily root pruned

Thanks @gigiplumeria , I have seen that post . That's amazing , crisp information on pods . I am not able to figure out the size of the seed. There was a pod on my mom's adenium , I asked her to cover it , she got 11 seeds . She said seeds are very small may be the size of mustard seed She has potted them in fine sand but she said don't know whether they will germinate. This is the first time she sowed adenium seeds

Yaaay. I had a lot of seeds planted on my MD Addie (red on white bloom similar to yours) but only 7 seedlings are going to make it. And they are very tiny seedlings so not even sure if they will make it.
Red and white bloom is so pretty
Looking at the size of your seedpods. I think you will have more than 11 seeds. you should be able to harvest it soon, if it already split open.
Will keep you posted
