Vera, your kitchen floor sounds just like mine. Hilarious!

Yesterday I changed the bed, did 4 loads of laundry, and made a big pot of Swiss steak stew, served over boiled potatoes..

I did 30 minutes of swimming then I made lunch, tomato tart, pork chops, and cherry cobbler for dessert. So far my daughter loves all 3 desserts, this kid is very hard to please, so that is something. She approved Apricot galette, she said it didn't look good at first, but it's now gone, cherry clafoutis was good, and now cherry cobbler.

However, I screwed up on the tomato tart, I had too much Dijon mustard, I should have removed the extra mustard instead of spreading them on the dough, live and learn.

Waiting for the sun to go down before I do more moving of plants today. Last night I worked until 8:30 pm, it was nice that there's daylight at that time. I replanted 2 Fair Bianca roses with my Shasta daisy. Today we may move the avocado to its permanent place. I said to my husband if we don't move them now eventually it maybe too heavy to move, I'm glad he agrees to move it.

Exciting to say our senior center is now open for limiting activities, I signed up to play table tennis with my husband for one hour each day Thursday and Friday morning. I'm hoping next week bridge will be open. The person at the front desk said no mask is required, but we will be wearing them going in anyway.
Back to normal activities soon. Yay! All this cooped up inside the house is not good for our mental health. We need interactions with other people.

Vera..screaming floor hahaha. My steps are crying but to heck with them. I am the boss!
I did some 'desk' workouts- the library has a humongous dictionary at the desk, goo for curls and shoulder work. Then there's planks at an angle against the desk. Probably should walk after dinner but don't feel like it.
Plant it and they will come.

My online order has arrived, I ordered 2 pairs to give me choices, it looks like the pink ones are much more comfortable and also pretty. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the tailoring to have it hem up with the shoes on. Once that's done I need to get some make up and nail polish. My daughter has Barbie Pink or some version of that, I might try that color. She suggested that I do thin French nail polish because that's hip right now, I told her that's what I used to have to hide the dirt from my nails, lol. Now I'm going to do this myself, I think I just paint one color, not trying anything fancy.

So I will also add walking at night for exercise, maybe I will tone up a bit more for the wedding. Between that and playing ping pong daily, my arms should be tone up. The bride should be happy that I spend all this energy to prepare for her wedding or maybe it's my last ditch effort to get a nice photo.

I had to go down to Santa Monica today for a cryocrit blood test. Santa Monica is about an hour away and very urban. The blood has to be kept at body temperature until it is analyzed and most labs can't do that. I'm still having outbreaks of that rash and no one knows what is causing it.

Oh no Kelli, so sorry to see that. I do hope they find a cure for your rashes. Are they itchy or just red?

Thank you, ladies. It doesn't itch or hurt usually. It can burn for a second when I rub against the sheets. Sometimes it feels a little hot, but that's it.

Kelli, wow! on that rash. I sure hope that you get to the bottom of what causes it. Even if it's not too uncomfortable, it's concerning to look at and likely curtails your outings a lot.

We had a cloudy, cool day yesterday but no rain. I moved some hostas around, and cut back a bit of a border that I have, thus giving me some divisions to share in the neighbourhood. We got in a neighbourhood bike ride of about 8 km.

I also severely pruned a couple of huge Christmas cactus before putting them in my screened porch and offered up cuttings to my neighbourhood give-away group. Still have a few, but got rid of many. And still have on large plant to prune, but it will be composted. It's a very old plant. I got the cuttings in 1970 from a HUGE mature plant that a relative had. But it's much fussier about blooming; so if I offer up cuttings, it will be to hort society members only.

Sunny, but still cool today. I'll work in the garden again some and I need to go to the store that sells New Balance shoes as they have a pair in that I ordered. I find that about every second style number fits my narrow foot; so when I find one that really fits, I try to keep a pair on the shelf and I've been told this style will be discontinued next year.

Oh yes, still trying to decide what computer to buy but since my current desktop is dying it will have to be soon. I can no longer click on anything in the bottom quarter of the screen and have it work properly.

Ann, I have a Dell desktop, about 10 years old, DH has a Dell desktop, about 8 years old, we have had no problems in all that time, my next one will probably be a Dell.

I have a Dell too, it's 8 years old, no problem so far. I might have to get my husband a new iPad, we have an old mini iPad that I bought 8 years and it's slow, so I might be able to get some Apple credit. We're not in a hurry to get one either.

Today my husband and I moved the avocado tree to the front, I'm hoping this plant will shade other plants like peonies, I need more room for my peonies and they need to be in a shade. The roses in the front probably do well with a bit of shade too. I did a bit of cleaning up of my lavender bush, it's so bushy, I can't even walk through.

I logged into my Heath management problem and was able to log in half of pound of weight loss. It's been a yo-yo, I try not to eat out, everything I eat, no matter how healthy my lunch is, I gain weight. Must be the salt or something.

I've heard lots of recommendations for Dell. Sounds like they certainly keep going. But then you run into the problem with my laptop - built in obsolescence. The 7 yr-old laptop, though heavy at 4.5 lbs for a 14", works fine but doesn't recognize the existence of a 5G network. The dying desktop is a 2012 vintage HP. I've replaced both the monitor and the keyboard because they quit. OTOH, I have a 2006 vintage HP desktop that works fine, though it runs Windows 98 and hasn't had an Internet connection for years. But some of the old software on it works better than the new versions on the newer computers. That old computer has the original keyboard and the letters haven't worn off of it. But its monitor has been replaced.

SoCal, I envy you your avocado tree. My late BIL was from Altadena and his parents had one. One year in the '70s, they visited Altadena at Christmas time and then flew east and visited us in Ottawa and brought a whole bag full of avocados.

Thanks Ann, I grow them in containers, so they won't get too big. I'm next to an avocado grove, I can get them reasonably cheap, but sometime I forget to eat them.
I get enjoyment watching them grow, this is my first baby avocado, the size of a large thumb.

My new CPU will not recognize my printer. I have uninstalled the program, reinstalled the driver directly from the Canon website. Unplugged it from both the electrical and from the back of the CPU. Still will not recognize it. Grrrrr................It has to be something in the new CPU as the printer works fine when I plug the USB into my laptop. Any computer savvy peeps here with a suggestion?

Geez, not me! Well, not without actually being there.I do have a few skills, but it has to be hands on. I could be a lot better if I would just take the time to fool around in any program or situation because I can sometimes figure things out.
When I was in school my mom used to call me with issues about her Dell; she would call the help line but couldn't understand what the help folks were saying, because Dell outsourced it to India or somewhere like that. She got so frustrated, she would holler at them and tell them she wanted to speak to someone who spoke English as a first language! Then she would hang up and call me. Sighing! I couldn't help her on the phone. Then when my son and I would drive to see her, I could figure it out pretty easily once I sat down and started messing with it.
I'm rather lazy myself; I've been saying that I really need to take some time to figure out all I can about using an I Pad, I usually just find out things by chance. So many neat things an I Pad can do! I probably don't use a tenth of the features on it. I can't even get motivated enough to turn off auto correct! Not me either. And yes it is really hard to talk thru computer problems over the phone.
I sympathize tho- our home wireless is acting like a jerk.

Here's one thought- be sure to turn the printer on first, then search with the computer. You've probably tried.. but I say that because in our library we have a pinter system with a pay kiosk and when we reboot (frequently Rolling my eyes. ) we must be sure to turn on the payment kiosk first, wait for it to fully load, THEN turn on the printer/copier.. because the printer needs to see the functioning kiosk to load up.
Plant it and they will come.
