It's not clear whether you did try to reboot the computer or not. Also try to see if you can see it with Windows Explorer, my husband said Windows 10 has some problem.

I do not use Explorer any more. It worked fine with my old system and that was Win 10. Who knows?

Anna, I hope you get it sort out eventually.

Today I went to play ping pong with my husband at the senior center, it was a good for the first time, we only tried to hit the ball back and forth for an hour. It's good to see other people too and get off the couch. But the best part is we're going to sign up to use the gym for just $10. I like to be able to run and raise my heart rate a bit more and do some exercises to strengthen my left leg.

Anyway, tonight I plan to walk with my husband in the neighborhood for at least 30 minutes, could be more.

We've decided to go back to the gym; we feel safer now that we've been vaccinated. It's too hot and humid to walk here now.
In this kind of weather, if you have anything to do outside, you start around 5:30 am and try to finish up by 10:00 am. It's way too hot and humid the rest of the day. I really feel sorry for the guys and gals that work for lawn mowing services, and also roofers.
I did get quite a lot done this morning.
My sugar rush is putting out so many tomatoes now I might have to give some away. I'm eating them at every meal. 😁 Still can't keep up because I'm picking at least 10 a day. I really shouldn't complain about this! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Forgot to mention that I use Chrome instead of Explorer. I know, I know.........most everyone extols the countless virtues of Firefox. I tried it and deleted. I was NOT impressed. Don't ask me why........it was so many years ago I don't remember. Whistling

Lynda, we were using the gym before the pandemic, so it's good to get back.

Today I also signed up for Mah Jong, I don't know how to play this at all, but interest in learning something new, something to keep my brain going. I also signed up to play duplicate bridge with my husband, it will be fun, but we need to review the bridge book. We played bridge before but it was a social group, this bridge will have more advanced players.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm off swimming in the morning for a while, if I do swim it will be in the evening. Summer with intense sun is not good for my skin, especially when I don't really wear sunscreen. This is one reason we don't play pickle ball, we much prefer badminton because it's indoors.

I also went shopping today and I found more cherries, they look great, maybe I will make cherry pie tomorrow. We're planning to eat out for lunch after ping pong. The ping pong was good for my husband, he dozed off after lunch, lol.

So glad things are back to normal. It would be nice if UK is open for travel, I would book to go in a heart beat. My BA free tickets are now extended to April 2023, if not then I want to go somewhere after the colonoscopy. Not booking anywhere yet.

My exercise so far for today has been shopping! Two weeks since dose 2 of vaccine. I went to Farm Boy (it started as a fruit and veggie stand but now has many other products and many of their name brand products too) this morning as we needed milk and the local grocery store stopped selling the fine filtred skim milk we like. For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, I didn't race there before breakfast. I had my breakfast and coffee first. Then this afternoon, I went to a friend's house as she offered me a division of a hosta she has surplus of. The I waited in line to get in at Northern and bought a couple of t-shirts (will retire some of my old ones soon), to Canadian Tire for a few annuals (they still had quite a few. We'd picked up a bag of dirt there yesterday but I had an impatient husband in tow and didn't get anything else. Finally, to the drug store on senior's day before heading home. We'll take a walk or more likely a bike ride later.

I DID call the knee doctor, but she's French Canadian and today, St. John Baptiste day is celebrated more in Quebec province than Canada Day is next week and her office was closed for the day. I think it's likely time for another injection.

I just got back from grocery shopping; I normally do this early in the morning, but now early mornings are reserved for gardening. I was very saddened to find that Krogers union and the Kroger management couldn't get to a contract agreement. The Kroger management wanted to reduce the insurance coverage and charge much more for it, and the union wanted to keep the medical coverage plus negotiate some more holidays with pay and a bigger pay raise. In the last contracts as far back as I can remember, after your salary topped out at the highest amount per hour, you got a quarter a year. That's right, 25 cents a year.
There will most likely be a picket line in front of the store tomorrow. Since Arkansas is a right to work state, not everyone belongs to the union, and even among those employees that do, many will continue to work because they have families to support.

Today, I signed up for the gym, it will be $65 and not $10 for the year, miscommunications from the front desk person. I have to pay $10 to get the orientation to use the gym equipment. So glad I did decide to sign up. Then my husband and I played about 35 minutes of ping pong, we definitely improved over yesterday.

Afterwards we went to the mall to a tailoring place to get my dress hemmed up. The dress is made for a 5'10 person at least, I'm only 5'2 at best. We walked around the mall afterwards, returned stuff we ordered online, some of the shops were not open until 11:00 A.M., a change from the pre-pandemic that we didn't know, then I stopped by a MAC store and the salesclerk helped me get some basic makeup, so glad she was able to help me, by myself I would have selected colors that are too bright. It's been a while since I've been wearing make up and that's my excuse.

Anyway resting now with a cup of tea and a See's candy. In the afternoon I will go to my brother's house to drop off an Itoh peony for him, I have too many of this Bartz variety, and he's going to show me his gym equipment.

After that I should be back at home, plan to do a walk and move some peonies around, it's going to be cool today, maybe high 70s, last chance to move something before it will be affected by the heat.

Hot and sunny. It seems the c diff isn't through with me yet. I had a bad day yesterday, didn't get much done except some necessary garden work in the morning such as watering, etc. I could tell my BP was zooming upwards, but I didn't bother to take it, just rested most of the afternoon. I feel much better now, but Monday I will have to call my doc and start the process to get that expensive medicine. The manufacturer, Merck, Sharp and Dohme, has a patient plan that costs the patient $50.00 per round of treatment if qualified. I will have to fill out this paperwork and notify the pharmacy before they can even order it, because they don't keep it on hand because of the cost. I'm just hoping I will qualify. Good RX and all the coupons online either don't discount enough, or in the case of the coupons, they are only for folks with no insurance. I will manage to get this medicine somehow.

Anna, I was not impressed with Firefox, either. I don't know how to do bookmarks or find them. (No need for anyone to explain.)

Yesterday we went up north for the day. We walked around a good bit, got some organic fruit, ate lunch at the beach. It was a very good day.

Talking about beach, I just rebooked my vacation, I'm now going to Carmel for a week, I have the free points so I might as well use them, I gave up the idea of going to London or Boston. I'm going to have a beach vacation, what I'm looking forward is great seafood for dining out.

Not sure if it's possible to drive from Orange County to Carmel without stoping midway. Last year we went to Pismo Beach and it was about 3 hours from my house. We stopped at Santa Barbara for lunch so it was doable.

Kelli, a great day!

SOCal, 3 hours is maybe doable for us but no need to stress, we'd likely stop for a snack or something in a 3 hour stretch.

Hm Boston.. maybe that's where I should go for my birthday weekend in late September. Going to Florida in September didn't work as planned last year- Hurricane Sally! But it was memorable hahaha.

Ocean City Maryland is this area's go-to beach town. About 2.5 hour drive, assuming you can get over the bay bridge.. so many accidents lately it seems and that stops the whole bridge for hours. Once you get there.. so much traffic, the highway up and down the beach is 2 or 3 lanes each way. Cripes. And the boardwalk just looks so scuzzy anymore. And so many places still can't get enough staff. Used to be the dream summer for a lot of college kids- work at the beach for summer.

One of our slightly aging chickens seem to be getting senile- we had a rainstorm and she stood out in the rain. everyone else runs for cover. Last night she was standing under a big catnip plant at bedtime. Sticking tongue out Night before we never even found her for evening roll call. Just acting weird and antisocial.
Plant it and they will come.

Sally, it's going to be 6 hours drive, but going through the beach route will be longer. Maybe if we leave early and we may get there very late. Last time it was 4 hours distance.

I was thinking of going to Boston after Labor Day weekend, I will be at the hotel that I can take water taxi to downtown Boston, this is to avoid paying expensive rental car, something like $700-$800 for 10 days. Outrageous really. But I can't find anything to do there in 10 days except to eat lobsters everyday, which I did in Maine 2 years ago. Another possibility is to take the Amtrak from North Station to Wells Beach Maine, but then we won't have a car there either, so I scrapped that idea. I used to live in Boston for 3 years when I did graduate school so I did quite a bit of touring, the list to do something new and exciting was getting smaller.

I envy all of Y'all's trips! Now that my car has a new radiator, I was looking forward to at least a day trip somewhere in state; to Magic Springs water park in Hot Springs, or up to the Buffalo river…. But I can't spend any time in the car now. So that will have to be put off…… I do ok for about a half day and then I'm through, so can't get much done, it's frustrating! Yes, Ive had this c diff since April 21 and I'm so ready to get rid of it…. Hopeful that the new meds will work. Crossing Fingers!
