Mika,
So sorry to hear about your deer issues. It breaks my heart when I accidently knock a bud off of a scape. I can't imagine what I'd feel like if I went to view my daylilies and they had been ravaged by deer. Too bad that you can't let your dogs roam your property. Our dogs have proven to be a huge deterrent to deer, to the point that I never see deer on our property, although they're all around our property. This past Winter a doe attempted to establish some territory on the western edge of our property. We would see her occasionally, and noticed that she'd been foraging along the edges of our small farm. However, after a few visits, our dogs caught scent of her. One morning I stepped out back with the dogs and saw the doe at the edge of our farm. The dogs also saw her. They gave chase and she ran as if her life depended on it. I guess it kind of did. She made a couple more attempts over the next week or so, but was turned away everytime. She was the last deer we noticed on our property. Good luck with that as I'm sure it's frustrating.
All that said, took a handful of pictures earlier. See below. Jobe
Beyond Thunderdome-this is a pretty light purple flower. We have a hard time keeping it in stock given it's popularity.
Carolina Fire-A repeat, but such a beautiful example of this flower
Singular Sensation-this is a beautiful flower, and the picture doesn't do it justice. I attempted to adjust the picture to more closely represent what I saw this morning. The flower is actually more distinctly pink than what this picture portrays. Not sure I did a good job with my adjustment.
Final Fantasy-beautiful lavender flower, very distinct.
Winyah Embers-another distinct orange-red flower
Summertime Splendor-a repeat but such a nice clump shot that I wanted to share again
Winyah Knockout-one of our seedlings that we plan to register for next season. Really distinct purple eye with a blue tint.
Denali-this is supposed to be a double. Didn't quite make it, but the colors are so vivid, I wanted to share.
Indian Chase-another repeat, but such a good example of a beautiful flower.
Purple Rain Dance-a repeat but again, vivid purple colors. We had re-fertilized our flowers about 3 weeks ago. The fertilizer we use really brings out the colors.
Palmetto Beauty-One of our hybrids. We have just a few of these. It's similar to Pure and Simple, but I think even prettier with a more distinct edge.
Raspberry Goosebumps-had shared this back in May. However, it's a rebloomer, and we're getting a second wave of flowers. This flower is prolific, and will likely bloom a third time before the end of the season.
Forsyth Mulberry Treat-It wouldn't be right if I didn't throw a Forsyth flower in. LeFever is easily one of my favorite hybridizers.
