I started digging again in my dismantled ring garden yesterday. I'm already halfway done. It helps if you water the ground first. I filled a small 13g kitchen trash bag of roots and found a rather large long since rotted root. It was really spongey compared to the smaller roots I dug up, so I think it has been rotting since before I cut the tree down four years ago. I'm going to take a break tomorrow and do some more digging Thursday. I want to amend the soil and hopefully plant a Vitex there this year. The grass looks like crap at the moment because it is mostly weeds. I really think it needs to be aerated. The ground is so compacted.

Well, a couple of notes. You see the full household, kitchen, dungeons, bedrooms, courtrooms, chapel...even the torture room. It has that RE4 castle vibes(those who know know).

Well, picture this. First rule about going underground...is you shouldn't go in alone. And I went alone. It was 30 minutes before closing time. The museums in Birgu are less visited because low key they are off the beaten path(much quieter and less visited neighborhood than Valletta, Sliema , Mosta and Qawra). So here I am, underground, in these tight, low, narrow corridors in the dark, rushing to check the exhibits because I want to see the rest of the museum. The tension certainly added to the experience

That is one cool succulent @Ketsui. Is the color occurring naturally or was the color injected somehow? It will be great if it stays that way.

@Hamwild enjoy your purslane and collect the seeds and propagate constantly. Mine will look good for a few months and then die. Surprised how fast your succulents are growing. Your flamingo is looking great.

@skopjecollection I was scanning fast the photos and thought some the people photos were real people I am seeing…. people and that Banana beer 🍻 I love chocolate covered bananas.

As far as I know it's natural not chemical . It's Cotyledon Orbiculata varigaited they keep the colours as the grow

When they first started popping up they gained rhe nickname "unicorn poop" 😀

Yes let's hope so, I need to read up about this genus a bit . I know nothing about them 😂

Unicorn poop! LMBO!!!!!!

If the unicorn 🦄 poop is that gorgeous, it can poop on my backyard anytime. I will gladly scoop them and repot.

I would think that one could propagate a backup unicorn 💩by laying some of the tiny fleshy leaves on top of soil. They would probably root as readily as burro's tail does. If successful one could have a bunch of plants and create a real pretty display.

Sounds like a good plan to me . It didn't come with a lot of roots so hopefully I can get it to settle into its new home

I didn't finish half of what is left of the ring garden bed because I started sweating. I was hoping to finish tomorrow, but I will have to break up what is left into 2-4 days. It is warmer today than it was the other day and it is going to be hotter next week (71 atm 😓). I will have to start working in the evening. DH will be able to help me then. I managed to dig this root out though.

@Hamwild I looked at your picture with the wheelbarrow and thought to myself what on earth is Ham growing. My first impression was that that was an amputated leg. Good that I went back to read that it was a tree root. Whew.

DH said it looks like a leg too!
