What are the best most colorful ornamental grasses that will do well in North Central FL zone 9A?

I sure wish I knew Gina. I knew the ones for SE FL but not for here. I will say that in my experiences down there, you have to be careful in choosing. What appeals & is touted as great can turn out to be a nightmare reseeding like mad.
This being one example:
Purple Lovegrass (Eragrostis spectabilis)

It is native & hardy & pretty when in bloom. I ended up cursing it.

I'm zone 9b, and the one that does well here is the Muhly Grass, they plant it in the roadway medians in full sun. It is pretty in the fall when back lit by the sunrise or sets, they cut it to the ground in late winter and it comes back. I see a lot of purple fountain grass too, but I personally have tried it a couple times and had no luck, I think because my garden is too shady.

Gina, this mentions grass for Gainesville gardens, all native.

Only thing that works good in my garden is Flax lily. Whistling

I love Carex Everillo. It is bright yellow and stays a bit lower than most grasses, maybe 18". I used to grow it in a tall blue pot and it was stunning.

I'll have to look that up. Plant Delights has several really nice looking grasses. They have a white Muhley grass.

I have seen the white Mulhy, it is quite elegant.

Lower supposedly carries that, Pink Mulhy and the Elijah Blue fescue grass. I haven;t really ever noticed, because I have never actually thought about planting grasses before. I love the look of that Everillo! But I am going looking!
