Well, do take care of that knee. I've been suspecting new body parts aren't going to be available when i can get theatre discounts...so need to take care of the ones I got. Crying

Thanks. Wasn't a knee replacement, just a scope, so not really serious. I TRY to take care of body parts, but my brain thinks I can work harder than my body can and the brain usually wins.

Or hauling 40 lb. pots around, or working outside for 10 hours and "forgetting" to take a break to eat, or using my knee for a crowbar. Yeah, little stuff like that. Hilarious!

I'm a worried semp moma, the weather was overcast & cold while my Semp.'jade rose' was in it's pot.It took me longer than it should have to get her & the chicks into the bed but they looked great.I left them together curious as to how far they grow away from the parent plant & wanting to see what they would do next.

The morning i planted them into the bed the sun came out and has been out every day since. It had been raining so much we didn't go 2 days without a day of rain,it hasn't only been sunny but it hasn't rained since and the temp has shot up as high as the high 60's -low 70's.Yesterday it looked like we were having more of tthe same sunny & warm until last night the temp started to drop,it rained a touch right about dark thirty then we had this freak wind storm that did a lot of damage around town.

I'm worried about such a climate change from when it was in it's pot until the day it was planted, should i be worried? Sad A few days ago i went out to check on it & the chicks have laid down, they were pushed up from being in a pot it had over grown. The leaves seemed to feel soft not a firm feel but not mushy.Maybe just the shock of transplant? Confused

Wind still blowing so may be a while before i go out to check on it & the others, hopefully nothing blew through my bed!!!Here are some of the most recent pictures taken!!

They are looking good Jelinda. They really are tough plants. They may have a little set back from the transplant, and maybe not. Might be happy with all the room they have to grow now. Just watch them when your intense summer heat starts up.

They look perfectly fine to me. Temps in the 60's and 70's shouldn't be any problem. You have stones under them to keep them off the wet soil which is great. They'll be OK, you're still a good semp mama! Lovey dubby

Do your semps get any shade during the hottest part of the day? If not, you will probably want to provide some. I use weed barrier raised off the ground on stakes, and Lynn makes some really nice shade tents.

There are a bunch of articles coming out next week (Semp Week!) that will address a bunch of stuff like this too. Hurray!

Yes, I also throw shade cloth (available at big and small box hardward stores) over my semp beds during the hours the sun bakes the bed before the sun moves and semp bed is in shade. Made a difference since my bed plantings weren't in a year yet.
