This does not look like the other pics of Penstemons, but I am otherwise unfamiliar with Penstemons (until the very near future, if my new plants bloom...). Could someone familiar with Penstemons please look @ the pics in the bottom 3-4 rows? Understood it is the genus entry, but some look so different, it seems worth mentioning. Maybe the genus is that variable. Either way, I'm always interested in learning more.

Hmm, I can't tell which it might be. So similar.

Comfrey is well documented here, but not that species of Mertensia. These blooms generally look more blue but the subject photo is washed out from full sun, so it could be a lot more blue in person. I couldn't find a right time of day to get a pic of some Lobelia where it looked as blue in the pic as in the garden.
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale)

looks like comfrey and not penstemon. My noid buds burgundy then fades to pink then almost white.

I moved it to the correct entry.
