Raising further up by 1 cm.. Not really raising, just cutting the plastic bottle
And I cut / prune the leaves of the longer branch, hoping to slow down the growth of that branch and allowing other small branches to grow.

For the one that have leaves ( the tall one), we can see some roots here and there, but the leaves look dull and not healthy. The other 2 have grown some shiny leaves but can not see any roots from outside, it seems like the adeniums that have leaves are using its energy to grow roots, and the other 2 using their energy to grow leaves then later growing roots, my initial thought is that they will grow roots at first and grow leaves later, it seems like they are working the other way round, leaves first then roots later. Shrug!

I repot some of the adeniums today, and found these 1 year neglected root trained plants, they are still in the bottle, without any fertilizer for 1 year D'Oh!
The first and forth one for sure, but to reconfirm if the plant on the right is the 2nd or third plant today's photo
Made further root selection and repot them into some larger 5 inch pots. Smiling

They still look good to me Whistling
I agree on the 1st and the 4th. They look like brachiosaurus. Hilarious!

@Kaktus, maybe graft a seedling on each one to represent a head.

Rolling on the floor laughing
I've seen some video on YouTube, some people graftes a seedling on another plant, so that we will see a caudex hanging in the middle of the plant..

Interesting... But what do you want to achieve at the end?

If I were to guess, possibly at the end of the day, the plant on top will decide which root that it will use, after a few years, 1 of the root stock will grow big and not the other.

Similar to the 8 shaped or heart shaped adeniums that you posted in the adenium sclupture thread, I did that 8 shaped grafting a few years ago, after a few years, the plant will decide which route to go to the roots.

Keep us posted and updated on the result. I tip my hat to you.

I think "to see what will happen" is a good reason to do things with plants. And it's more fun than just staring at them.

I bet people laughed at the first person to try grafting anything. Or the first person to cut off part of a plant and put it in the ground. Or the first person to sprout a seed in a pot. Somebody has to be the first if a thing has not been done before. It is also fun to do things people say won't work because it's so common that they didn't try and fail, they're just saying that hypothetically. And sometimes you just want to see it fail for your own self.

Totally agree with this, I have made so many Frankenstein projects on the plants.. It is fun to "create" Something. And another reason for me is to keep me busy, otherwise I will keep on staring at people selling succulents online for hours, and at the end of the day, keep on buying new plants.. Smiling
