I Dreamed a Dream with a visitor

Yesterday at noon the rainy weather arrived - now its very wet and quite cold outside and there is no chance to work in the garden for the next days.
I was lucky to get some last pics in my seedlings garden right before the rain started:









All these diploid seedlings have very late genetics in their background and all have still some buds left.

Now it's time to do virtual gardening - sorting pictures, updating records and of course you should follow this example for several hours:

No Daylilies. Only potted cats.

October, Iowa, Daylilies still blooming, but I keep removing the dead leaves. I have seen with forgetting to remove dead leaves, it does stop blooming. Love Daylilies, they bloom the whole summer.

Carnival in Mexico, open Oct 5 in my Wisconsin garden. First time ever.

I Dreamed a Dream

This NOID, possibly Buttered Popcorn, surprised me with a new scape in October. Here are its first blooms (October 11):

Yesterday, this 10 month seedling finally opened - I've been waiting and was not disappointed. 21-275 (seedling x Song of the Sea)

These are what's still blooming today.


19-093 - blooming since 6/25 (rebloom and bud building - I can count more than 40 bud scars)


19-124 - blooming since 6/21 - same as it's sibling above but I only count 30+ bud scars
