Sedums, Echeveria and other mixed succulents. One year I had a Paddle Kalanchoe on one side. Kinda reminded me of putting a big bow on a wreath. Might do that again this year.

The pic just shows 2 of the 3 tier baskets. I went to an Antique Trove place that had all this garden furniture, pots, metal furnishings and tools, etc rusting outside and I dragged it out from a corner booth that was fillled with egg collecting, bottle collecting baskets and racks. Took it home, sanded it , spray painted it and planted it in my dining room this Jan because couldn't stand the echeverias calling to me and the never arriving Spring...I've seen this basket type for $125 and I got it for $45. I have Graptovera Debbie, E. Violet Queen, E. Lola, E. Oliver, E. Runyonii, E.Pulidonis, E. Lime & Chili and others planted in the baskets.

It's usually when you are not looking for it that you can find it. You gotta just trick your self not to look for it but in the recesses of your mind you are always thinking of it if you are not thinking of where the acetabulum is located on the body... Confused Hilarious!

Love the tiered planter. Do you still have it planted. Love to see more pictures of that. Green Grin! Very nice. Holly this cracks me up "There are so many wonderful plants out there." Hilarious! Hilarious! Spoken like a true plant collector. Whistling Wish these plants were more cold hardy.

I agree I agree Wishing they were cold hardy.... I came very close to buying some today but don't really have a good place with decent light to have them inside. The specimens I saw today were so very nice. But.......

I put this together yesterday. Just a few things propagated from some I had. They just seem to grow leggy and I cut the tops off and reroot.

Here's pics of the baskets I got from collectible/antique mall. I sanded, spray painted, mossed it, put soil and then echeverias, sedum, crassula, graptoveria, graptosedum:
To be worked on to get rid of rust and to paint:
