I am delighted with the fall 13 collection! This is the first year of bloom and lots of growth. My camera does not capture the depth of color and the sculpture. I've been dabbing pollen and all are fertile. Fall collections are a disadvantage for me in Maine - have to wait almost 2 years for bloom. These were worth it. Louise

Here it is October 12th in Maine and New With Spandex, Elizabeth Peacock, Penthouse Playgirl and Sublime Pantomine are still blooming!! Blooms for at least two months! It is a strange year; summer arrived the end of August and has continued through September and most of early October.

Nice! The weather has been so strange this year over our way, too. Not much blooming now, but Alone Again a spring 2013 intro was fabulous this year. Great branching and the color was just beautiful. Kept a few seedlings from it...I'm one of those that uses a plant even if it's new so this was the first year to see seedlings bloom from the 2013 purchases.

πŸ˜„ There's a big advantage to playing catch-up on old threads. I can now afford the 2013 introductions πŸ˜ƒ
I arrived here looking for information on 'Merry Prankster'. Several of the others are tempting too!

Ann: You echoed my sentiments exactly. Plus I can look at the data base and see the pictures of how his intros actually looked in other people's gardens............Maryl

This brings up a question I have had about the pictures on his website: some of the daylilies look very dramatic, and I wonder if the colors are actually so pronounced. Example: Fukushima Shishimi (Hanson, 2014) which has quite a different look in the only other photo on the database here.

I am especially curious about thpse with deep blues and purple tones, such as in Self Fulfilling Prophesy (Hanson, 2021). The colors in Crintonic Secret Place (Hanson 2021) look almost surreal.

Input from those of you who grow his more recent intros welcome.
