Such a diminutively cute plant needs to have an equally gigantic raffle, and that is exactly what we have for you this week. Come and view the table set out with prizes galore for a whole group of lucky winners!
Thanks Hetty! Ginger sorry to hear this I agree now as you heal, plants are a great way to "distract" or "encourage" the next thing, whatever that may be! Later this summer I'll have some "chicks" that I could trade - keep it in mind!
Cheers
Thanks, Lynn. The frog was in the plant when I moved it into the GH that year and spent the whole winter there...had to be careful when I watered It stayed for awhile after I put it back out, but then I guess it went in search of a mate
Each cloud has a silver lineing if only you look for it.
Thanks, Lynn. Everything's so complicated these days. My microwave oven died and both of the replacements I've bought have been lemons, so that alone has taken up a lot of time. Today I'll go back to the store and get a third replacement. It's a hassle because I don't have a car.
What a bummer. Hopefully soon, things will settle down. It does make it more difficult when one doesn't have a car. But then it is also a big savings, not having car maintenance, insurance and all that. Getting to the time when I know it probably isn't far down the road before I need to not have a car.
I got rid of my last car 35 years ago because it's so much healthier to walk wherever I need to go, but I can't walk 10 miles to a store while I'm carrying a big microwave oven box, so it's annoying.
Lynn you do crack me up!
Zuzu - we are kindred spirits! I never learned to drive because I felt like it was a waste of gas, air, metal...all of it! I have always tried living in a place that had good public transportation...and friends that are willing to drive me to where ever, for the larger items! But, sounds totally frustrating getting lemons and having to go back I hope this one works for you!!
The worst thing about it is that I bought the silly thing at Walmart. Can you imagine having to go to Walmart four times in one week? One of my neighbors has been taking me there, and her husband says he's scared of us now that we've become Wal-Martians.
I promised you some baby pictures, so here they are. There were 96 plants in all (3 each of 32 cultivars). I ran out of bonsai pots fairly quickly, but I also had some abalone shells and some shallow pots.
That's 81 of them. The other 15 got tucked between other plants in large containers, such as this one:
When these babies start spreading and growing, I'll have a better idea of how to combine them in larger containers. Their present containers are more like baby nurseries. What a score! I think you'll agree that these are worth far more than the $100 prize gift certificate. Lynn, thanks again for making the arrangements for this prize.
