Are you sure on the ID of this plant? To me, it doesn't look like an Aeonium Haworthii. The colors also don't look like a variegated haworthii. Thinking It is however, a nice photo.

Maybe you could show more photos of this plant?

As indicated on the photo caption, the photo is not mine.

When I notice plants with no images in the plant database, I will sometimes look online to see if there is an open source illustration to upload.
This is the source: https://www.flickr.com/photos/...

If you think it's mislabeled or too 'prettied up' to look like what it's supposed to be, I will ask that it be deleted.

That would be a shame, it's such a beautiful photo. I do believe there's a "bucket" of unidentified plants that it might be moved to if there's doubt. I forget where it is though.

I can't speak to whether this is what 'Variegatum' is supposed to look like, but the photo I used looks a lot like the photo used by the RHS at their web site, so perhaps this is what is now "in commerce as" A. haworthii 'Variegatum'.

Possibly, this photo was modified with a color filter or filters. For the sake of the photo, the results can be stunning. But for a database of plants, it may make the plant looks a little unlike its natural appearance.

Possibly, that's what happened with this picture. Still, it's absolutely gorgeous.

The link that Virginia posted does align with the colors in the photo. My concern would be that the leaves do not have marginal cilia, or hairs, which ought to be pretty obvious in a photo that close up, with so many different leaves. Comparing the RHS image to this one, that's the thing that stands out to my eyes. Maybe we should move this image to the bin of unidentified plants, if it's not clear what to call it. Pretty much every Aeonium with thin leaves has those fine hairs. I am wondering if maybe this is a variegated Echeveria or something. It just doesn't really align with the name it currently has is the database. Or maybe if you shoot only the very central leaves and turn the color up to 11, the cilia somehow disappear.

Sorry, that's all I've got. Smiling It is a very pretty picture.

I was reluctant to use the photo because it looked so artsy, but it did look (and still does look) very similar to the RHS photo. Looking at most online photos of Aenonium haworthii, it's very difficult for me to see the 'eyelashes' on the leaf margins.

Unless there are other factors you haven't mentioned that cause you to doubt its ID, I'm not inclined to think it's an 'unidentified plant'. My best guess is that it's what it says it is, but because the photographer was so interested in the artistic effect, the artsy 'bokeh' makes the leaf margins seem glabrous... only if I look really, really hard can I see hints of fuzz on two of the leaves. Unless you see anything else that's problematic, I'm inclined to believe it's the right plant, but too prettied up to be botanically useful. I couldn't find another photo without copyright restrictions, so I went with what I found.

I'll ask that it be deleted; i don't think the bin needs this prettified orphan.

Thank You! for explaining what the problem was.

BTW, I'm pretty sure that all photos put into the unidentified bin are eventually moved to the proper location once identified. It's just a holding place while someone (I don't know who) does the job of identifying and moving it.

I've put at least one picture there and it was eventually moved.

I hope you'll leave it here.

I believe that the photographer may have altered the photo. Maybe that's why the cilia went out of focus. The leaf shape is a bit odd too.

I'll take a picture of it later. Or maybe dig up an old one. Note the cilia, and leaf shape.
