In Ohio, it can get well below 0*. The last couple of winters it hasn't been too bad. I'm not sure how hardy this variety is. I don't have the tag anymore to tell me. We do usually have snow, not at present, so I hope that will help.

My rosemary has never survived our winters here in mid Indiana
It is still good picked after a freeze and dried for use.I often have a rosemary on my front step till after the new year.

Jumper2 said: Hi, I'm new here. I brought my cilantro and parsley inside. They were in a planter on my Mom's back deck. I hope to overwinter them and put them outside again. So far so good. My rosemary in the garden has grown to be very large. Hope it survives the winter again.

Cilantro is really easy to start from seed. Even though it does take a longer time to actually germinate.

This fall I harvested rosemary, cilantro and parsley. I put them in 2oz cups, added some water and froze them. It was easy and is handy when I want some foe cooking.

Rosemary and parsley dry really well. I've never tried to dry cilantro.

Yuk, dried cilantro. Save the seeds and grind. I don't like my herbs in water and frozen, they end up too wet. Better luck just throwing them in a bag as fresh leaves, spread out and frozen, but I really don't have to do that, mine rarely die in the winter. (The ones I can grow without the mildews)

I'll try the spread out to freeze next time. We get too cold here for them not to die off, unless they are very hardy.

Yeah, I have been to Ohio - all over the state in and out for 35 years, happy to be freezing in the subtropics right now, chuckl.

It's in the 20's here today. Looking like snow by the end of the week. Hope the snow is deep enough to protect the outside plants from the cold.

Kim, would you like to start a new thread for 2023?
I'd love to see more posts about herbs.

Deb, I think my mom (KFredenburg) did it last year because Cinda was on a media fast, and that's why she asked my mom to do it last year. Cinda was the one to start the yearly herbal threads, so maybe we should ask her if she'd like to do it this year. Thumbs up
