@sedumzz , I just realized you added more things to your signature. Hurray! If you're lucky I'll have gemmae from platystigma and verrucata by next year. Crossing Fingers!

thanks for the offer. Not sure if the gemmae will do well with shipping though.

This morning I checked on Sedum makinoi ogon. The mature growth (large leaves, 3 per node) do not have much lime coloring. So interesting.

Yes, my other ones (same momma plant cuttings) in partial shade don't have it too, more greenish or yellow green. The ones that have coloring are begging for water
*Blush* But I have to keep these pots bone dry because they share same pots with my grapto superbaum. They green up and perk up when I give them good water and partial shade.

Sedumzz, they mail just fine! You just have to know how to package them correctly. nodding

I noticed that some sedums like more water. Like Spurium. No water, and they will go into dormancy, and look like aeoniums in dormancy. Literally. Shrug!

The beautiful Aeonium on the ground quickly grows from chicken to bright, greenish-green, pointed-blood, 8-inches wide, broad-eyed, red-eyed. In spring, beautiful yellow flowers appear in large, thick, long, beautiful red clusters, attracting bees, butterflies. Beautiful trees with little water flow, low, narrow or large boxes.

Here's Alex's thread:
The thread "Google Translate Shenanigans" in Sandbox forum

I was laughing pretty hard at some of the things the Google algorithms come up with when given plant names.

I thought the one above about Sedum anglicum was even funnier than the Aeonium one...

Native sedum nevii and sedum ternatum are doing well in the shaded areas.

Nevii likes to shed all its old leaves and replace them with new buds Confused
Ternatum is staying flat like a plate. I don't know if it's this specific form/var, but that's what it likes to do. It doesn't like to stay upright and more cupped like the other photos.

Hope these qualifies for these chats. I spotted these kalanchoes at our big box stores. Definitely in my list to bring home. Had to bring this home:

These I am thinking of getting once the cold snap is over.

This is soo pretty! I got this free from HD! I bought pots and they have these along with other succulents/sedums (which I forgot to take photos) grown in small pellets that were just lying on the ground. I picked them up and brought it to the register with my pot. The salesperson said, you can have them, we normally would just toss them if they are not in pots.

I love these little sedum. I have them as ground cover. This is sulking that I protected them from cold, the ones I didn't cover are super happy (forgot to take photos):

Nice looking plants Gigi! I like the pot the tree is in. No label for the tree? I have found some nice succulents at Lowes as well as HD.

The miniature tree is a purple bougainvillea. It is getting ready to bloom. The pots are called "bonsai training pots". It comes with drip pans and they are very affordable at Amazon.

Oh rats, I don't think I can grow bougainvillea here. However a local nursery sells them I guess for those that have green houses. So what happened after the cold snap and how cold did it get?
