You're right. It's Isaac's Storm. I was conflating the two. We read Isaac's Storm and having lived in Galveston could totally see how what happened, did happen. I have ancestors from the 1850-1890 period buried in the old cemetery on Broadway where the coffins popped up.

This lady apparently bought approximately $1200 plus worth of the same exact plant (if you allow $100 per, which may still be too low for these) that is a rampant climbing plant and stuck them all up on her wall in these silly pots with these ridiculous very short moss totems.
So....yeah.

Words escape me-I mean what is the point of this? first of all IF the plants happen to survive and this is a huge IF- how will she water these poor things? What a disaster! The pots are going to be way too small soon and what are the moss totems for? You gotta wonder...

Not really.
They will never get enough light, probably not enough air movement, and they need to be able to actively climb to maintain the size of leaves they are now. Like many phototrophs, if they do not climb, they stall out, leaves actually get smaller.
It looks like she bought all these separately, as maybe top cuttings. That was a chunk of change for sure. Even though some prices of are-oids are falling, this one really isn't.

This, kids, is why I have not gotten on a plane in about 12+years, and why I never will again....
