Many actors will now do personalized messages for people, e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, etc. If you can pay enough.

They are listed here, with their prices https://www.cameo.com/
Mostly B-Z-list actors, musicians, or worse (social media influencers) nobody has heard of.

That said, I justnow found Bapkat is there (I recently downloaded TikTok to defy the government and Bapkat makes me laugh a lot on that forum).

HA I never had TicToc. My son has it, he sends us funny videos (mostly animal) a lot. I've never ben really a followed of social media like Twitter/X, TicToc, Instagram, Reddit, Discord etc. I am on here, and on FB, and on a few very old specific gardening sites (one for Palms, one for Bananas) and that is it

Me either.
I was only interested in TikTok because they wanted to ban it. I wanted to see what all the fuss is about. The content creators on it have a lot of theories as to what the real reasons are. Some are way out there conspiracy theories. Some are fascinating. Like the difference in top-down news versus bottom-up news. Top-down is the current media news format, controlled by a few who get to decide what people hear and apparently the way older generations do it. Bottom-up is hearing from regular people actually there on the ground as it happens, broadcasting live. That is favored by young generations (aka TiKTok users) as a way to get unfiltered news. And, if you believe them, a way to avoid government propaganda. Shrug!
I still do not get any news from TiKTok. I do not even know how. I just watch cute cat videos. Whistling

Facebook, I started using since a week ago, but only for 1 specific reason - to see plant sellers. I registered both accounts with fake details. Technically, I also did that with this gardening website, too. Already had my identity stolen once, never gonna use my real details on the internet.

My son is on TicToc, he was doing live drawing and had built up a lot of followers and was getting commissions from it. Then one day, he was drawing a mermaid, and in the line art sketch he drew what they said was a naked butt, and he got banned. Poof all his followers gone

Wow.
Even if it was a naked butt, rather than accidental, I am still surprised. Since it is a depiction anyway and not even the real deal.

The world has way too many prudes, who have been taught to be ashamed of the human form. D'Oh!

It's not prudery, historically those restrictions have been put in place to control exploitation...of children, women, unwilling sex participants, etc., but the subtlety required to moderate what's art vs porn can be difficult for a human (depending on cultural background) and darn near impossible for a bot. This is a good article ā€” specific to FB and Instagram, but applies to social media in general.

Its hard to equate a line drawing (essentially a stick figure with 2 circles on it) as a butt IMO.

I'm not arguing with you. There are many artists wrongfully censored like your son. The article I linked gives a good history and overview of how the restrictions evolved.

There was a comedian I remember once saying that prostitution is illegal and you could go to jail for a long time. But if you film it it is now porn, and 100% legal! Rolling on the floor laughing

We have a lot of odd contradictory laws. One that still bamboozles me is around alcohol.

You need an ID to show you are over 21 to buy alcohol-free (i.e. 0% alcohol) wine or beer. Conversely, any child can purchase a bottle of Listerine from the supermarket (20% alcohol). Blinking

You can't flash your boobs in public without getting in trouble with the Police. Unless you have a hungry baby. D'Oh!

Talking of bizarre contradictions, here is something I saw in the supermarket today:

This one makes sense to me, seeing as nobody's going to drink Listerine by the liter unless they want to die. In which case, any child can find ways to die without having to go to the store.
