There is not yet a pic of that species in the database:

So pretty! Does D. surculosa grow slowly where you are?

in my highland garden they do grow very slow, especially the Florida beauty and milky way form, (the one with shorter stature), but the cultivar Sushi and Mikey (Cultivar that are more robust) grow well.
'Milky Way' seems prefer warmer low land.

I used to have many different spotted and striped Aspidistra. These are the only two I brought to this house. The leaves on this one are about 4' long.

Spangled Ribbons, it probably should be called spotted ribbons. Hilarious! The leaves on this one are about an inch wide and about 20" long.

Nice, Alice. I did notice Spek-Tacular for sale locally. I am tempted to buy it but I have too many houseplants now.

They are pretty large for an indoor plant. I got mine about 20 years ago from Tony Avant at plants delight nursery in central NC and they were hardy there.

Oooooo, those colors are spectacular! We had to drop the kids off at the Orlando airport this morning and I planned to stop at the Leu Gardens plant sale on the way home but I wimped out at the last minute, 3 weeks of company coming and going has me exhausted. DH still can't believe I passed up a plant sale. Lovey dubby Hilarious!

LOL, my husband was at the OIA airport this morning at 6am picking up my son. I didn't go to the plant sale this year either, rain like a hurricane yesterday, and too cold for me this morning LOL. Last year I didn't see anything spectacular, got some caladiums and a Tillandsia, most the plants were the same thing as you see at the garden centers around here, but the prices were higher, parking is a real pain if you don't go at the crack of dawn.

I was thinking about driving down to Leu but the weather made me bag it. Our gardens here are having their Spring Festival this next weekend so that will be better for me

We're heading up your way this coming weekend to camping at Paynes Prairie, I didn't realize there was a plant sale at Kanapaha, good to know. Any other plant nurseries to visit while I'm there, will be there through the following week for a few days?

There is a spate of new ones trying to cash in on the plant craze. I don;t go to any of them LOL. One is called Plantstay. The lady who has it, Bren, is on Facebook forums with us. She is really nice and her shop is the nicest, but also maybe the most expensive. There are some others...I don;t even know all their names because I kind of ignore them...one is called Serpentine, I'll have to look up the others. Kanapaha will be both Sat and SUn, the tickets are $10 each day

Kanapaha also has a nice walk around the gardens and ponds.
