I was so happy to see my Rhodiola sp. come out of dormancy. Hurray!
I haven't seen it in bloom yet, looking forward to getting photos of it.

Although these containers are not quite a colorful as your frog (that was a frog wasn't it?), Lynn, I love them.

Going to share a photo of my containers I got from Chris, took delivery so I can get ready for semp delivery in April

It is going to be hard to decide what to plant in which :-)

Also just got the melt the styro thingy and will attempt to use it early next week.

I am going to have a lot of choices and I hope to fill them all up nodding nodding

Thanks, I love Chris' work too. Am looking forward to them spilling over with plants.

The planting and getting new plants will have to wait until Spring really arrives here. Tonight another 8-12 inches of snow. with temps only in the 20s. Green Grin!

I almost tried the thingy today but it was too cold out.

Will post when I can.

Tabby said she does leave her hypertufa out. So since this is my first year I did leave mine out

and will see how they hold up. I think they will be OK.

Jo Ann It will be great to see what you put in your planters, you are such an artist with your gardens.

And goldfinch4 (Chris) leaves her hypertufa out over winter, and her area gets intense winters.
And I have two that have been out for two winters now in our freezing thawing cycles that we have throughout winter. They are doing great.

10 years ago I made my own. They dissolved in spite of plastic covers.
I believe the new ones are made with a different mix that is more stable.

I understand that the mix makes all the difference in the world. Chris can address that better than I can.

Does anyone know what the new mix actually contains? Would love to try these this year, but do not want to waste my time on something that will only hold up a year or so outside. Winters here get pretty hard.

I have two of Chris's hypertufa pots. Nothing seems to bother them. Not even lots of freezing and thawing.

Hurray! Hurray! Wahoo, can't wait to see them Marilyn. How is your weather today?
It was in the mid 60's today and absolutely beautiful. Worked outside all day. Cliff finally coaxed me in, it was getting to dark to see anyway. Rolling on the floor laughing
