Very pretty Gigi!

Gigi, I bought one of those boat planters last year at Joannes and never got it planted.

Maybe your planting will give me inspiration. Please post a pic or two after you get it potted up.

That other one is nice too.

Weellllllll ... I got one top cut off, but then the burny thingy went south. I guess they were right, "don't put too much pressure on it"

I need a better tool.

You mean it got bent? Just needs to be tweaked back into straightness? Want to throw it against the wall? More civilized to return it to the store?....

I tried to unbend it but it will break at the least pressure. It is cracked at the bend.

Return is an option, but a hassle. I got it at Amazon. Left a negative review.

Maybe I will have something to show in a week or two that will prove I can complete a project.

Marilyn, Aw I'm sorry! That's gotta be annoying I think it will look good once you're finished with it! Time to go back to the knife I guess huh??!! Don't give up! It took me 3 times of redoing the whole thing before I got my "project" the way I'd wanted it to begin with!! You are learning from this!

Here is the one I cut with a first coat of paint.

I am going to get a wire brush and rough it up a bit more to give it more texture

Then I will apply an orangy paint to it ... will give a bit more variation.

If it is nice tomorrow and it is supposed to be before 6 days of snow and rain, I will try to use the knife on one

of the other containers.

Love it Marilyn!! For the next coat are you "sponging" it on? That would give it a marbling effect. It looks really cool though!!

I was just going to give it a few sprays of the paint and maybe muush it around with a plastic bag.
