Gigi, I bought one of those boat planters last year at Joannes and never got it planted.

Maybe your planting will give me inspiration. Please post a pic or two after you get it potted up.

That other one is nice too.

Thank you all! Lynn, the boat is ceramic, the faux stone is resin planter (not really sure what it means) *Blush*

CDsisters, these are my boats, I apologize in advance to those who had seen them before.

I tip my hat to you.

Weellllllll ... I got one top cut off, but then the burny thingy went south. I guess they were right, "don't put too much pressure on it"

Back to the knife I guess

Ready to slice and dice

and one small container is done. I will go ahead and spray paint it (that is what the box was for) More posts later.

Here is what it looks like now.

You mean it got bent? Just needs to be tweaked back into straightness? Want to throw it against the wall? More civilized to return it to the store?.... Confused
Hang in there, Marilyn.... Smiling

I tried to unbend it but it will break at the least pressure. It is cracked at the bend.

Return is an option, but a hassle. I got it at Amazon. Left a negative review.

Thanks for your encouragement.

I will get something else and go forward.

Here is where the whole discussion started

The thread "Styrofoam Troughs" in Containers forum

Go to the first page of that thread and you will see some examples of using the Styrofoam box by BlueFox and then some of the ones Tabby had created that inspired the whole thing.

Maybe I will have something to show in a week or two that will prove I can complete a project. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Here is the one I cut with a first coat of paint.

I am going to get a wire brush and rough it up a bit more to give it more texture

Then I will apply an orangy paint to it ... will give a bit more variation.

If it is nice tomorrow and it is supposed to be before 6 days of snow and rain, I will try to use the knife on one

of the other containers.
